Do I Contradict CCFF on Isaias 11? No

Assorted retorts from yahoo boards and elsewhere: Is Zionism a Blameworthy Fault? (Of anyone other than Catholics Praying too little, which Roy Schoemann mentioned) · New blog on the kid: Do I Contradict CCFF on Isaias 11? No

There are more than one CF who cites Isaias 11:1, 2 or 3. Verses up to 6 or 8 are more sporadic.

Verse 10 is the first I comment on, and I don't contradict these two:

Or that He would rise again from the dead: “And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, and one who shall rise to reign over the nations; on Him shall the nations hope, and His rest shall be honour.”5078
5078 Isa. xi. 10.

Further, that the Same Rule of Truth Teaches Us to Believe, After the Father, Also in the Son of God, Jesus Christ Our Lord God, Being the Same that Was Promised in the Old Testament, and Manifested in the New.
Chapter IX

Thus it is written in Isaiah:631 “And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, and He who shall arise to rule over the nations, in Him shall the Gentiles trust; and His rest shall be glorious.”
631 Isa. xi. 10.

Lactantius, The Divine Institutes
Book IV. Of True Wisdom and Religion
Chap. XIII.—Of Jesus, God and man; and the testimonies of the prophets concerning him

Verses 11 to 16 are missing from the Church Fathers. I comment from verse 10 to verse 16./HGL
