I wouldn't say that source is necessarily always the most important part of the frame.
"Somewhere at university" or "in school" (where the teacher recalls university) and so on are clearly not much more informative about whether the info is reliable or not, since some university disciplines aren't all that reliable and since what one recalls from a university lecture may in fact also be "a summary of a summary". Or even more so, what you recall from school.
On the other hand, the internet can have pieces thoroughly aware of this problem and trying to do something about it. The video I just quoted may definitely be trying to do sth about it, by decrying an AI help to fact finding. Here it is:

I am less concerned with the tendency as such (knowledge in the Middle Ages could often enough be a summary of a summary, like someone quoting "Agellius" (in fact Aulus Gellius, so "A.Gellius") and his Noctes Atticae without checking in Pliny the Elder's Naturalis Historia which in turn was not itself providing the sources, written or anecdoctically oral, that Pliny the Elder based himself on). And I'm more concerned how this helps to cementify certain cultural outlooks inimical to the faith or natural reason or the law of nature.
I comment on those, and cannot afford my own work to be just "a summary of a summary" because it's polemic, not a work of reference. To some, both the quality of polemic and the quality of really checking out how something is known dashing what amounts to magical thinking in the overconfidence in modern science, can be resumed as "inefficient and quarrelsome" ... they loathe me for it.
Now, if only some Jew or Muslim who might not be an avid student of Talmud or Hadiths himself and still less has patience for someone thinking Rabbi Akiva and Mohammed are wrong, or Maimonides and Averroes are wrong too, if that's their preference, that would be less bad. But when fellow Catholics take up the attitude, it becomes somewhat of a chore. Usually an author doesn't live off people reading his blogs for free because they hate what he has to say, and want to keep abreast of the latest in order to make their latest (secretive, behind closed doors, but available to the gate-keepers) rebuttal, but of a more sympathetic public, willing to pay for printed and bound actual books. And for most authors, this would come from fellow members of their own religion. Richard Dawkins doesn't live off New Agers. Marion Eleanor Zimmer Bradley and Margit Sandemo didn't live off people who prefer going to the Ark Encounter. Much as I regret it, Ken Ham's Ark Encounter, per se not Anti-Catholic, is not getting most visitors from Catholic parishes, who boycott it because Evangelicals, the main audience, have an anti-Catholic tendency.* Vice versa, whatever Robert Barron has to say on Catholicism, or Heschmeyer** and Horn*** (who unlike Barron need to sell books to feed their families), it's not mainly supported by Young Earth Creationists, because Heschmeyer and Horn have the unfortunate habit of defending Old Age compromise as at least possible. But also, because they are NOT Evangelicals. Heschmeyer and Horn are also not bought mainly by disciples of Tovia Singer, and his books are not the most bought by people who listen to Imran N. Hosein.
You see my point. Getting blocked from your own is costly. I could sell among Catholics if they aren't anti-Young-Earth-Creationist. I could sell among Young Earth Creationists, if they aren't anti-Catholic.
Now, Catholics can never everywhere be against Young Earth Creationists, like Christ promised to preserve His Church in His Truth (Matthew 28:16—20). Young Earth Creationists who are Protestant by default, but not fanatically anti-Catholic (not Hislop fans), will not cease to convert. A man claims to be Pope who is probably going to authorise the Marian apparitions at Lipa, in polemic against those who sit in the physical buildings of the Vatican° and arguably he is, like his predecessor, Young Earth Creationist and Geocentric. I cautiously adher to Pope Michael II. But in Paris, no priest celebrates Mass in communion with him.
I was being blocked as a writer on these topics even when I regularly did go to Mass in Paris, from 2009 to 2012. In St. Nicolas du Chardonnet. Because some people can't believe (after seing "Breakfast at Tiffany's") that someone in the Middle Ages was called Tiffany rather than Theophania (same name and the priest at Baptism would have pronounced "Theophaniam" just as in my case it was "Ioannem Georgium" in the Baptism sub conditione in 1993, but she was regularly referred to as Tiffany, in her own day), some writers of historic novels hesitate to call a Medieval character Tiffany. Similarily, what one thinks one knows about Catholic interpretation of Genesis 1 to 11 or of Joshua 10 blocks some Catholics from checking that St. Augustine, an undisputed Catholic authority was actually Young Earth Creationist (City of God, books 11 through 17, would be the go to) as well as Geocentric (De Genesi ad Litteram Libri XII, go to book I), that these positions were never condemned by a Pope who was in his lifetime viewed as Pope by all claiming to be Catholic and in some cases upheld against pioneers of the opposing theories.°°
But not only are they sloppy about the Catholic stance on these things. Their "knowledge" of the supposed "science" that opposes the traditional view and makes the modern compromise "necessary" is also not traceable to observations and first principles. Too often they are content to look at the programme of science departments giving the desideratum that knowledge of the non-obvious should make sense of actual and repeatable observations in the way that makes best sense, and conclude that Evolutionists and Heliocentrics are in fact doing that as best as anyone can in any question related to their academic fields. Never do they stop to ask the questions that scientists are or should be asking.
- how do retrogrades prove Heliocentrism?
- why is a residue of 25 "percent modern carbon" the actual age of two halflives, or 11,460 years?
It would be awkward to find answers like:
- by the absence of God and angels;
- because the Bible is wrong about the overall age of the universe, and 5000 years ago, the atmosphere was far too old to hold only some more than 43 pmC as opposed to c. 100.
But I think these are the precise tracings of this "knowledge" and as I have been into debating guys even who work on scientific institutions (on their free time on the internet, though even that has tended to get rarer), I am in a position to know it.
My own tables (on alternative Biblical or Bible compatible carbon dating) are not summaries of summaries, though unfortunately they refer to such. Saying that Göbekli Tepe's lowest layer is carbon dated to 9500 BC through ashes of char coals is a summary of a summary. My own identification of that event with "beginning of Babel" in 2607 BC is based on Babel beginning c. 350 after the Flood, when Noah died and ending in 2556 BC when Peleg was born. Doing a similar identification of Campi Flegrei with aspects of the Flood (when the fountains of the great deep were opened, by volcanism disrupting the barriers) permits me to identify carbon dated 39 000 BP or 37 000 BC with real year 2957 BC.
I analysed Mladec caves skeleta as needing reservoir effect, since 30 dead would otherwise have come too soon after the Flood, so, between Flood and Beginning of Babel, I work with two speeds. This permitted me the conjecture, so far not refuted, that in 2935 BC (22 years after the Flood) a sample then dying would have 2.583 pmC, and be dated as 33,160 BC.
And I bring back astrophysics to the questions "what do we see, what can explain it?"°°°

"You Will Never Climb Alone"

It was kind of foreseeable I might use that toilet.
And it is not the first time that I get the impression that things add up around me as answers to me, while not mentioning me and not purporting to have anything to do with anyone in particular.
Getting an income as a writer is per se not what one would call climbing. One might consider it climbing compared to being homeless, sure, but it is not the usual definition of climbing.
Suppose I wanted to be a trader. I would need to make a good impression on very many people, I'd need to get the trust and sympathy of lots of people, I'd need to depend on lots of inside information, and therefore have a wide network. But, in fact I don't want to be a trader. And similarily, I don't try to be a spy. I don't hope to tower into power. I'm not into the kind of things that need networking.
I also don't try to live the kind of life that a certain GM did when a certain VS was among the ones he had in some sense groomed. French people may know what I am talking about. If I came into some kind of affectionate relation with an underage girl, I'd probably try to wait till she was of age. In fact, that is part of what may have been happened, except it begins not to add up, since if that had been the problem she should now actually already be of age (she didn't state she was underage, it was my guess at the time). So, I wonder why I'm basically ghosted, if she simply thinks me totally unattractive, she could just say so ...
I got shocked that there came to be such a hullabaloo about Alex Jurado, not over a girl who is 14 now, which I could understand as having some kind of legal ramifications, in many states they would probably not be able to marry, but over a girl who was 14 seven years ago, and so is of age now, even on the US 21 years limit. He denied it happened, not saying he is lying, but if he is, the right and perfectly sufficient thing to do would be to go and marry her, unless she was meanwhile with someone else or was meanwhile in a non-Catholic religion.* Or a nun.
If Catholicism in the US is so Puritanic as to find someone unacceptable as an Apologist for something that happened seven years ago and apparently didn't lead to anything beyond sexting if that's not a fabrication, then getting along in US Catholicism might need more networking than I thought. It's not as if he were Abbé Pierre. If it had happened now, as I thought yesterday and beginning of today, I might simply have advised them to go to a state where she could marry at age 14. I think this is way more important than state run support for exposed mothers to be seamlessly pro-life. The legislations from the Progressive Era are putting 14 year old unwed mothers in harm's way.
But I happen to not be in the US. I also happen to be in the country where Abbé Pierre was active. I also happen to be not exclusive on Apologetics.
Now, Abbé Pierre for some time was an abuser, but his foundation found out, and from that point on, they put pretty drastic security measures into place to make sure it didn't happen again. They may have heard a rumour of someone assessing me as a pedophile (some Swedes** would do that for my words about marriage of 14 year old girls), have identified the Apologetics part of my writings wrongly as an attempt to make my living as a kind of religious figure (I'm in fact a layman and hope to marry), and put some of those security measures into place about me.
That would be abusive. If I were the victim of such a network, I might need a whole network to break free from it.
But I'm going to talk about breaking free from networks now. Other than that of Abbé Pierre. And apart from breaking free from that one, if needed.
I have stated more than once that I'm a writer. That does not mean "I want to be a writer later on, when I have learned" it means some things are already being read and are on my view perfectly fit for print. (Obviously not on the view of certain US Catholics). It also doesn't mean I want to be any kind of writer that a network might decide on. Where I come from, writing is not foremost done on the orders of a network and also not to suit a network. A writer who did that would on my view be like a pub that served the beer of only one big brewery (I think such tying of pubs is illegal now, unless a pub is directly owned by the Guiness factory, it cannot be contracted to serve only Guiness, good as that beer is, it can however be obliged to serve Guiness according to Guines standards). You walk in, you hope to find any beer that the good taste of the pub owner may have inspired him to acquire, and you are shocked to find he cannot serve Kilkenny because he has a contract to Guiness. You maybe find Kilkenny preferable to Guiness. You may find Michele Guiness is wrong about Palestinians of Gaza (her bias would be understandable, if not correct). And yet you cannot get your Kilkenny, it's either Guiness or water or remain thirsty. That's a tied pub, and they don't exist any more. I don't want to be a tied writer any more than some pub owners want to be tied pubs. Or if, then to a local brewery (again very natural if the brewery and the pub have the same owner).
So, I don't want to be tied to novel writing alone, just because a network thinks my essays are worthy to be reused in certain facilities. In novel writing, if I take it up again, I don't want to be tied to the Isaac Asimov style, just because a network prefers that to Tolkien and C. S. Lewis, authors that still mean a lot and meant even a lot more when I grew up, to me. In music composition I don't want to be tied to an obligation to be able to play what I write, because a network thinks a composer who can't do that is a fraud, and I also don't want to be tied to the Schönberg style (which may have provoked the prejudice just alluded to ... a pianist who writes for piano in the Schönberg style at least is supposed to have tried whatever he wrote on his own ears, I tend to prefer well explored harmonies over those of Schönberg, not to mention Stravinsky or Alban Berg***).
Similarily, as a Catholic, I cannot be spokesman for a network of Jews, Muslims, Freemasons, Evangelicals or so, even informally, in my writing, unless very partially, like saying "some Jews could be in or preparing for the state of grace, since a Mass Conversion is upcoming" when Sungenis says it isn't or like saying "an Evangelical doesn't need to be Anti-Catholic very actively or even to deny the Real Presence," when some Catholics say they do and even associate Young Earth Creationism with that, for that reason. No, I don't affirm Hislop's cranky ideas and I also don't deny Holy Mass. Currently, partly no Mass in Paris is celebrated in communion with Pope Michael II, partly at certain parishes (I would say both an SSPX one and a Novus Ordo one), I would be putting myself at risk if they ally with psychiatry, about like going to Mass in LA may be risky for a Latino, simply because the priest can't block ICE out from all precincts.
So, do I actually need a big network? It could be useful for distribution, but as to produce something in a sellable and buyable form, I'd need one musician able to make a monetised music video or a few persons doing selection of texts plus some minor other editing and printing and binding, when it comes to essay collections.
I'm not looking for things as big as power or as classrooms. I'm not that kind of climber. If they say "you cannot climb without us" either that's an unintelligent observation or a criminal menace to my liberties.

Canonisation says three things:- x is present with the Lord (we agree this can occur) and came there immediately on dying (you would pretend this is the only outcome possible, except hell)
- x can hear our prayers and submit or refuse to submit them to God (you would disagree on this being able to occur)
- the life of x is worthy of imitation (we would both agree this can occur, and we would both agree this is not what happens for instance with a drunkard who repents and is saved five seconds before he dies).
When you said God told Him "good and faithful servant" you were extending to him the dignity of being worthy of Christians imitating him.
That's why I called "santo subito" or hasty canonisation.

The first canonisation in (or into) the New Covenant was made by Jesus to Dismas. A k a the robber on the cross to the right side of Jesus.
A generic canonisation is found in Matthew five and Luke 6 (starting in verse 20), so canonisation is saying someone has earned these additional blessings over the simple blessing "blessed is he whose sins are covered" ... otherwise we wouldn't propose so and so for imitation.
As to the process, one can ask whether it's good or bad or someone else has a better one (like the Orthodox process is different), but the idea of miracles comes from Mark 16. It's cessationism that's unbiblical.

Another Swede, a woman this time, posed a question which I took to be personal. This was on Quora, and the site is made the way, if I get kicked out of or deconnect from Swedish Quora, I also do so from English, French, Spanish and so on. I reacted by saying, I am not amused by questions of psychology. She started giving reasons why I should fins psychology great, I dismissed this in really low, but to my mind not disproportionately so, terms.
Just after that, yesterday I get a question if any religion has traumatised me, and today, from that person, that woman, a question what I thought about the fact that some will be called out as narcissists when they are in fact traumatised.
I actually am somewhat traumatised. By Sweden. And by its dominant religions, psychology, evolution, science.
The two of them are pretty obviously trying to pathologise expressions of my Catholic faith.
I said abortion is murder? "Oh, he's a callous narcissist, who doesn't care about the feelings of women" — "No, he's traumatised by a strong indoctrination in Catholicism."
I count on getting a publisher? "He's a narcissist who thinks the world owes him a living?" — "No, he's traumatised by whoever is using him."
I show a certain confidence in my own alternatives to mainstream science (yes, apart from accepting most of Creation science, I have done contributions of my own)? "He's a narcissist who thinks he knows better than all scientists combined, when he has no science degree!" — "No, he's traumatised and doesn't dare to look at the evidence for fear of Hell."
I don't spend hours worrying about what would happen if I were to run on the German autobahn in the direction opposite the direction, on a day when cars are running fast. I simply don't feel any urge of doing such a thing and therefore no acute fear about what would happen if I did. The one half hour in my life when I was really tempted against the faith, was a temptation to Calvinism, which I obviously rejected.
I also see no reason to fear looking at evidence. Standing by the side of a German autobahn trying to hitchhike may be illegal, but it's mostly and inherently not the risk I just took as an example, and similarily, looking at evidence doesn't the least inspire me to doubt Catholicism or Young Earth Creationism or Geocentrism.
It's neither narcissism nor trauma to believe I know the age of the earth better than earth scientists. I don't believe I'm God. I believe I stand by God's written word. I believe every peace of evidence I don't have a Young Earth Creationist explanation for, actually has one, even if it was not for me to see it. I believe team St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Augustine of Hippo beats team Lyell and Darwin. I don't believe I'm very great in the team of Catholic Young Earth Creationists, just that I had a few solutions at a timely moment when nobody else had them and still have so.
But one thing has a somewhat traumatising effect on me. Sweden. Its insistance that, whether as a narcissist or a traumatised victim of sectarian abuse, of an abusive cult, whatever I say cannot be what I actually and honestly am convinced of for at least moderately rational reasons. Its insistance that, I don't say anything worth listening to until I tell a Swedish shrink what's wrong with me or "the symptoms" so the shrink can determine what's wrong. The cult abuse I have survived, and not caved in to on the doctrinal front, is Swedish secularism. I don't think North German would be better.

PS, the Pope we celebrate today has on some views died before Marcus Aurelius became emperor, but of the uncertain dates one span ends in AD 161, which is when Marcus Aurelius became emperor. This should inform you how I feel about Stoicism. I hold with the martyrology reading, he was martyred by a Stoic./HGL
* Also for believing I am bright enough to figure some things out. You know, the kind of views that in Swedish politics about militaries and immigrants could count as a conspiracy theory.

Some people seem to think, or hope to make me think, things will become lots better if I cease to be a Catholic or at least cease to be so "traditional" or "narrowminded" or "exclusive" or (especially among Swedes) "dogmatic" ...
I have the impression 90 % of the Lutherans (who are now dwindling, only 53 % now) and about the same (80—95 %) of the Nones (technically 37.9 % of the population, but in practise many Lutherans would fall here) have been raised on Schleiermacher's or similar ideas that religious truth cannot be known, that religious dogma serves only a social purpose, that being "dogmatic" (i e believing the dogmas of a specific confession are factually truthful statements and do not contain error) is therefore a fault, a kind of mistake about categories.
But obviously, quite a few Muslims, Jews, probably Freemasons, hope I will at least not remain dogmatic. And some Evangelicals that I'll become so about their position, which (insofar as I knew it back then) was basically mine in part of my childhood, and which in my own case I count as an incomplete preparation for my Catholic faith.
Now, it would seem quite a few of these are engaged in what cult experts but also students of narcissism call "love bombing" — and I just learned the word "future faking" from a video.* Now, I'll not pretend everyone I'm dealing with is deliberately and knowingly future faking. Lots are basically in a position of either not realising their own potential if I continue to disappoint them (which I will if a change of heart is what they hope for) or not counting on my potential to resist their love bombing and (unconscious, let's hope) future faking.
My plan in 2005 was:
- to stay faithful to a girl** or possibly get another if that one's out of reach;
- to get if not rich at least well to do on income from my writings and compositions;
- to do these as a Roman Catholic of a very dogmatic type.

This is not what I have chosen because of love bombers or future fakers. It's also not sth which has been imposed by bullies.
There was not really all that much future faking at St. Nicholas du Chardonnet, and I left, second time, while this time staying in Paris, partly for theological reasons, but partly also because I noted that their ways of discouraging my online writing were really what they meant. A person X could perhaps "future fake" for a week or two, until making it obvious she was not in on the plan (despite her position as a student of "métiers du livre"*** making her in that way an ideal partner.
But I kept future faking to myself, hoping to get through there. Until one day I didn't. The theological reason was not a radical turning away from being Catholic or being Traddy, landing in Vatican in Exile is hardly a giant leap, since Pope Michael I was once a Seminarian at ... looking up, Armada, Michigan.° Run by the SSPX.
Recently in the news one man carried a name similar to one of the priests, yes, he was nephew of Revd. Régis de Cacqueray. And as the nephew was basically a National Socialist (not quite my thing), and as I have some Jewish ancestry and said so, this could possibly have contributed to the attitude. Or they could simply have been engaged in psychological judgementalism about "narcissists, attention seekers" and such ... perhaps even some more roots in moral theology, I would (but I'm biassed) say if so misapplied. Whatever such loyalties of Régis de Cacqueray may or may not have contributed, the parish has started seeing Revd. Robinson as their theological star on questions that were just as dear to me then as now, like Young Earth Creationism and Geocentrism.
Too bad.
But not quite as bad as making it every day clear I am well liked and even loved, except the days when the opposite is made clear, and this obviously NOT from the SSPX in any way shape or form, but from people around the place where I have my luggage.
There are different reasons why some men can't walk away from such situations. Not seeing through them is just one. Another one would be not being able to afford to walk away, I'm not sure. I am sure there are people I'd like with less diffidence if they were part of my plan instead of abusing my position as homeless to make part after part of it not work and when I turn to another part make that not work either and when I turn back to a part I had neglected for some time pretend I don't know what I want and so on.
