Answering two points raised by Dr Neville Jones PhD et al.

the two points that I originally made:

1. That capsules could only be smashed against the Moon when launched as they were;
2. That NASA could not have navigated to the Moon if the stars were moving?

Before giving my answer, briefly, I will say that the point was answered by others on the list in such a way as to make it less than necessary to choose between Geocentrism and believing the story as if mutually exclusive:

Here are now my own answers to the points

"1. That capsules could only be smashed against the Moon when launched as they were;"
Answered by Robert Bennett, retrorockets were able to slow down the movement.
"2. That NASA could not have navigated to the Moon if the stars were moving?"
If I am correct about the aether, the rockets (once escaping the big pull of gravitation of Earth, supposing that is how "gravity" works, and once escaping the friction in the atmosphere where movement is slowed down by static Earth) would be moving in spirals - upward/outward as per momentum of launch and at same time along with aether.

And aether would be moving along with stars. Net effect: rocket would not be moving in relation to stars and stars not in relation to rocket.

Another side of this is Geostationary satellites having an Eastward momentum in a Westward moving aether. As I detailed in a letter exchange with Tom Trinko.

So, therefore there is no actual need for a Geocentric to discredit NASA. That said, some who have done research have also found some.

Reality Reviewed : Grissom, Chaffee and White researched by Dr. Neville Thomas Jones, Ph.D.
http://www.realityreviewed.com/Grissom.htm

And my own contacts with NASA (per email and per combox) have not really convinced me they are the "honest" ideal of objective scientists. You know, answering inquiries, even if answer given might discredit (or be misconstrued as discrediting) their own scientific theories and all that.

In fact, this includes my experience of communicating with Carl F. Hostetter, a Tolkien fan, who would normally be interested in Geocentrism. You know that letter (quoted in a page "on top of" this blog, i e you reach it by clicking one of the buttons between uppermost blogpost and the title space) where The Professor thought a global but static earth was easier to imagine "to his fancy, if not to his reason" than a flat earthed world. Or the part of Silmarillion where Sun and Moon get angelic movers. Quite in concordance with standard Scholastic cosmology, even if the scholastics did not accept any thousands of years of "treeshine" between first moment of creation and the Fourth Day with its creation of Sun and Moon. But that is of course where Tolkien's love of mythology comes into the picture. And he made his own one very attractive.

You see, on FB, Carl F. Hostetter lists NASA as his employer.

That might - if true - make him a bit more prone to be averse towards Geocentrics than logic and other parts of reason warrant.

And of course, scientists are not machines. In fact this is a reason why those concerned with other minds "malfuncioning" should not be credited as scientific, but that is beside this immediate issue. Even if I did not at all present my Geocentric material as an attack on the Moon Landing, a NASA employee who had gone through some screenings about Geocentrics and Moon Landing deniers (after Neville Jones raised his point) might feel, through a game of association, insulted by even Geocentrics. If he believed Neville's material about Grissom, he would feel an urge to quit NASA. If he did not, he would feel irritation at Neville. If he knew it was true but was posing (I am not saying this is the case, of course, I do not know if the failed flight was accident or murder), he would of course pose as much as possible as not believing the case. And, by a slip, either in his honest or in his possibly not quite honest rejection of Neville Jones, he would include Geocentrics in general in that rejection.

Other NASA people - is Phil Plait one of them? He is actually the guy whom I rather think of as deliberately avoiding the issue after a debate with me that took some weeks - would often enough be [Classic Western] Atheists. To them, angelic movers of Sun, Moon, Mars and Venus, are a big no-no, exactly as much as a similtaneous supernatural creation of these on Day Four.

But the big challenge of Moon landing to a Geocentric is survival on a Moon that moves around us at high speed. If it happened, of course it proves, if not completely Newtonian physics, at least a limited aspect of them, that things fall to the ground because of gravity and that six feet from the surface of the moon, the head of a man on the moon would experience virtually none from Earth but immensely more from the Moon. If it happed it also proves the possibility of the Heliocentric explanatyion of our sensation of stilness. Neil and the rest (if they spoke truly) experienced the Moon as being still under their feet on the ground, much as we all experience Earth as still under ours on the ground. However, neither proves Geocentrism wrong, the first would prove an Aristotelian proposition either wrong or fraught with exceptions, the latter does not prove that the obvious explanation while being applicable to us on Earth must also be applied as the true one to us on Earth. The real big challenge is the speed, and I have previously calculated that in a Geocentric universe the men landing on the Moon would temporarily be experiencing a speed if anything lower than the total speed of Earth through space. I calculated for the speed of "daily rotation" plus "yearly orbit", it was the same speed as that of Moon in a Gecentric universe. And there the gravity is less high, about one sixth, I have gathered.

So, there is no physical impossibility in the Moon landing, even if Geocentrism is right.

But there is no physical impossibility in faking it either. When I see pictures purportedly from Moon with a pyramid reflection in the face shield, I am not saying "wow, are there pyramids on the Moon, is this leaked and did NASA want to silence this?" I am rather saying: were the Moon landing pictures faked where there are Pyramids, i e in the Egyptian desert?

Schools in Church Doctrine (Pope Pius XI vs "Vatican II")

Pius XI, Divini Illius Magistri
75. To meet the weakness of man's fallen nature, God in His Goodness has provided the abundant helps of His grace and the countless means with which He has endowed the Church, the great family of Christ. The Church therefore is the educational environment most intimately and harmoniously associated with the Christian family.

76. This educational environment of the Church embraces the Sacraments, divinely efficacious means of grace, the sacred ritual, so wonderfully instructive, and the material fabric of her churches, whose liturgy and art have an immense educational value; but it also includes the great number and variety of schools, associations and institutions of all kinds, established for the training of youth in Christian piety, together with literature and the sciences, not omitting recreation and physical culture. And in this inexhaustible fecundity of educational works, how marvelous, how incomparable is the Church's maternal providence! So admirable too is the harmony which she maintains with the Christian family, that the Church and the family may be said to constitute together one and the same temple of Christian education.

77. Since however the younger generations must be trained in the arts and sciences for the advantage and prosperity of civil society, and since the family of itself is unequal to this task, it was necessary to create that social institution, the school. But let it be borne in mind that this institution owes its existence to the initiative of the family and of the Church, long before it was undertaken by the State. Hence considered in its historical origin, the school is by its very nature an institution subsidiary and complementary to the family and to the Church. It follows logically and necessarily that it must not be in opposition to, but in positive accord with those other two elements, and form with them a perfect moral union, constituting one sanctuary of education, as it were, with the family and the Church. Otherwise it is doomed to fail of its purpose, and to become instead an agent of destruction.
Reference to 76. above ...
From a Footnote:

19. Cf. Pius XI's encyclical letter, Divini Illius Magistri, 1, p. 76; Pius XII's allocution to Bavarian Association of Catholic Teachers, Dec. 31, 1956: Discourses and Radio Messages, vol. 18, p. 746.

It was a footnote to:
GRAVISSIMUM EDUCATIONIS ("Paul VI"/Vatican II)
5. The Importance of Schools

Among all educational instruments the school has a special importance.(19) It is designed not only to develop with special care the intellectual faculties but also to form the ability to judge rightly, to hand on the cultural legacy of previous generations, to foster a sense of values, to prepare for professional life. Between pupils of different talents and backgrounds it promotes friendly relations and fosters a spirit of mutual understanding; and it establishes as it were a center whose work and progress must be shared together by families, teachers, associations of various types that foster cultural, civic, and religious life, as well as by civil society and the entire human community.

Beautiful indeed and of great importance is the vocation of all those who aid parents in fulfilling their duties and who, as representatives of the human community, undertake the task of education in schools. This vocation demands special qualities of mind and heart, very careful preparation, and continuing readiness to renew and to adapt.
Difference?
Yes.

1) To Pope Pius XI, it was necessary for society that the schools should exist. But not that every child should be in school. To Paul VI, the school is important because ... see next difference.

2) To Pope Pius XI, the specific task of the school is "[s]ince however the younger generations must be trained in the arts and sciences for the advantage and prosperity of civil society," - meaning the school is not there for the good of the pupil so much as for a good the society can get from the pupil once the training is finished. That is - alone - where family and Church without the school are not enough. To Paul VI, I will now highlight the additions, here is his idea:

It is designed not only to develop with special care the intellectual faculties but also to form the ability to judge rightly, to hand on the cultural legacy of previous generations, to foster a sense of values, to prepare for professional life.

So Pope Pius XI basically agreed with Chesterton (whom he granted a Papal decoration!) that children get their moral and otherwise "right" judgement from parents (and Church), but school must agree with or at least not hinder that. To Montini, they get it from school, that is what it is ultimately designed for.

To me this means Montini was perhaps Judaising, perhaps Communising, perhaps Protestantising, perhaps Massonicising the doctrine, but certainly not keeping it Catholic.

3) To Pius XI, parents are the representatives of God. To "Paul VI" ...

Beautiful indeed and of great importance is the vocation of all those ... who, as representatives of the human community, undertake the task of education in schools.

Teachers undertake, then, according to him, the task of education (not just specific training) in the very specific capacity of representatives of the human community.

This means the "human community" is where the authority to educate ultimately resides. Not in the Divine Master, Jesus Christ. And its representatives are teachers, not foremost parents.

I am sorry, but "Paul VI" was a sad story of divinising human society precisely as Athenian pagans did before him.

Here I break off for now. Click the links if you want to study the documents. I will give a fuller description below. For now, I am very much fed up with reading the declaration of Vatican II, which I consider identic to the errors of Communism on this point, as well as the errors of Swedish education, as well as the errors of Jules Ferry and Azaña, except in so far as the declaration at least wants a Catholic Education for Catholic families. It is something. But stating that the educative power resides in either human community or schools is NOT giving a Catholic education.

On top of this, one states that the teacher needs to be a very specific man. And his specificity includes (but is not limited to) readiness to adapt. No, the traditional view is that a teacher needs to be:

  • Doctrinally Orthodox,
  • Morally irreproachable,
  • Apt to teach his subject matter.
  • Patient with those stumbling (but this is not required at all levels)

The last qualifications obviously asks one thing of a language teacher and another thing of a teacher in archery. Neither is required to have a continuous readiness to renew and adapt. Neither requires a very careful preparation just for being able to teach. And the specific qualities of mind required for teaching mathematics are not the same as those required for teaching literature. Nor need the qualities of mind be anything like more specific than simply mastering the subject and being articulate enough to communicate mastery. The un-Pope "Paul VI" falls into the trap of that British educator who provoked a sham epitaph:

No teacher I of kids and smaller fry.
No teacher I of teachers, no not I.
Mine was the further aim, the longer reach
To teach men how to teach men how to teach.

Because a teacher supposedly needs to have very specific qualities and be very carefully prepared, this preparation (with selection according to presence or absence of "special qualities of mind and heart"), and because families are obviously not capable to guarantee that by simply choosing a teacher (unless they are families with special qualities), and because "education" (under such horrid modernist auspices) is a "human right", which the state must guarantee to each child (Paul VI neither says nor denies "even against the parents") the state is therefore obliged to introduce such levels of control of educators as ultimately add up to the dictatorial powers assumed by the man parodied in above verses. I tried to look him up, he was of the 19th C. but I found very little on seeking these verses. And it was decades since I read the book where this sham epitaph is given as example of sham epitaphs. Will have to ask a FB friend. If answered, I will update in a PS. Anyway, the man had this kind of megalomania about what teaching in schools is about and thus also helped destroy liberties in United Kingdoms.

And "Paul VI" very un-Catholicly supports this nonsense.

Gravissimum educationis momentum ... Synodus attente perpendit. How well they choose "gravissimum" for "extremely important" and "perpendit" for "weighs". It reminds me of an extremely heavy stone hung around necks. You see, "gravissimus" is also "very heavy" and hang is "pendere" in Latin.

On Karl Keating's Course

1) "Nobody believes in Geocentrism these days ...", 2) On Karl Keating's Course, 3) Karl Keating had a Status, the Status a Debate, 4) Ross Hoffmann Made an Answer, an Answer too I Gave

All I know about it so far is what Robert Sungenis has quoted him as saying:

Anatomy of a Smear Campaign
https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http://galileowaswrong.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Anatomy_of_a_Smear_Campaign-1.pdf&wmode=opaque&chrome=true

Or:

Anatomy of a Smear Campaign
http://galileowaswrong.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Anatomy_of_a_Smear_Campaign-1.pdf

Includes on p. 13 this quote:

Keating: Sungenis writes: "Karl Keating knows nothing about dynamics or coordinate transforms. All he knows is what he has been taught by the science textbooks in high school." This is an interesing example of fantasizing, since Sungenis knows full well what I have written in reply to him before about my educational background. I'll repeat that here, so you can judge whether his characterization of me in the preceding paragraph is correct. Of course I had some science in high school‐‐didn't we all?‐‐but that wasn't where my science education ended. My undergraduate work was done at the San Diego campus of the University of California. At the time it had three constituent colleges. I was resident and registered in Revelle College, which was the science school. It boasted half a dozen Nobel Prize laureates. With MIT and CalTech, UCSD was one of the three top schools for math in the country. I was a math major. It was a requirement to take a lot of hard science courses, particularly physics. One such course was directly on point regarding Sungenis's hobbyhorse, geocentrism. The course was a mathematical investigation of the Ptolemaic theory and the geocentric theories that flowed from it. We used the actual ancient data and worked through complex equations to see whether, with ever finer data, the geocentric theory "saved the appearances." (The answer was No.)

My own reaction, previous to reading Sungenis' reply (I am even shutting down so as not to peek) is the following:

How would working through complex equations ever possibly be able to solve that question?

Why formulate a question like "does the geocentric theory save the appearances" at all? Geocentrism is not ONE theory, it is ANY theory which saves the appearance of Earth being still by means of accepting this as a fact in itself.

The reason would perhaps be to confuse Geocentrism with Ptolemaic system.

Saying that accepting excentrics as centres for perfect circles (if we abstract the near perfect circular movement per day) which obviously do not have earth as its centre will not save the appearances as well as accepting elliptical near perfect cirles will. And the one focus for any major body except Earth (still), Sun and Moon (Earth or wobbling point close to centre of Earth, inside it for Moon, in one focus of elliptic near perfect cirle), will have Sun in one focus of elliptic near perfect circle. But not a point not the Sun as centre of real perfect circle.

If we understand "aphelium of Earth" as "apogaeum of Sun"* and "perihelium of Earth" as "perigaeum of Sun", the Sun will move around Earth variously at distances like 152 097 701 km and 147 098 074 km and any between them.

152 097 701
147 098 074
004 999 627
km difference between perigee and apogee

365.25 approx year in days
182.625 approx half year in days

So on any day between apogee and perigee we will have sun moving around (4 999 657 km : 182.625 days = ) 27 376 km** closer or further off per day, which is at any day insignificant to the total radius of the daily movement. Hence Aristotle's empiric statement that all heavenly bodies move in perfect circles. Which was just NEARLY right.

But getting back to the forms of the non-daily movements, they are not perfect circles. Even around excentrics. In that detail Ptolemy is wrong. However, other systems of Geocentrism - historical or new - are not built around that assumption. So, if we integrate data given by Heliocentrics like Kepler (elliptic orbits) and by refined observations (Mercury not behaving according to the laws of planetary movements predicted by Kepler, hence Mercury's irregularity), along with Tycho Brahe's major identification of Sun (or rather a wobbling point close to its centre, perhaps) as moving excentric centre and Galileo's identification of smaller objects having Jupiter for immediate centre, I cannot for my life see how the equations of Keating at San Diego campus could possibly rule out, optically or geometrically, Geocentrism.

What I can very easily see, however, is that if he puts in a physical or mechanical assumption of causes being limited to, for actual movements, inertia of mass and graviational attraction of other mass, and, for apparent movements, parallactic appearances plus gravitational bending of light, yes, then he will get difficulties in supporting Geocentrism. But those will not be the difficulties of saving the appearances, but rather of saving the current explanations.

If you now go to Stephen Tempier, you will not find "angels move heavenly bodies" on the index of condemned notions.

http://enfrancaissurantimodernism.blogspot.com/2012/01/index-in-stephani-tempier.html

And if you go to St Thomas Aquinas commenting on Job, you will find him affirming it:

[In eodem bloggo] : Terra et Astra secundum Aquinatem in Commentario de Hiob capite xxxviij
[in quo et datur uinculum in situm de corpore thomistico]
http://enfrancaissurantimodernism.blogspot.com/2014/05/terra-et-astra-secundum-aquinatem-in.html

Which will involve the disappearance of that kind of difficulty. Pretty immediately - unless you think St Thomas was wrong, unless you think it has been validly demonstrated that angelic movers must be excluded. I for one do not, and more importantly, I have St Thomas on my side. As well as - even more importantly than that - the book of Job, the book of Baruch, the Canticle of the Three Young Men in the Furnace.

My own studies were not scientific. My main subject (I never took a licence, but in this subject I intruded to postgraduate level) was ... Latin. In Lund, South Sweden, with lots of Brigittine studies and with a Tertiary Dominican for one of the Latin teachers (now professor, the "Docent"), that meant an emphasis on Medieval Latin. What I learned to do at University was reading St Thomas.

Any further problems or questions, Mr. Keating?

English Wikipedia : Christian Social Party (Austria)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Social_Party_(Austria)

http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Lueger

http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parti_populaire_autrichien

Parti populaire autrichien
(Redirigé depuis Christlichsoziale Partei)
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christlichsoziale_Partei

http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austrofascisme

Front patriotique (Autriche)
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Front_patriotique_(Autriche)

http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ignaz_Seipel

http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Television

http://avantlafermeturedantimodernism.blogspot.com/2008/10/gocentrisme-ma-vers-1.html

http://avantlafermeturedantimodernism.blogspot.com/2008/10/gocentrisme-ma-vers-2.html

http://avantlafermeturedantimodernism.blogspot.com/2008/10/parallaxe.html

http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallaxe

Is peace brought about, when infidels pray together?

If a Catholic prays with Catholics for peace, God may hear them.

If Orthodox, being to human eyes nearly Catholic, pray among themselves for peace, I cannot deny the possibility God will hear them.

If Jews and Muslims each pray among themselves, well, God knows if any of them has goodwill, and if the open errors of anyone is a human mask to what counts as faith in the eyes of God, it might happen that God will hear them.

But if a Catholic prays with people clearly not Catholic, if an Orthodox prays with people clearly not Orthodox, if Jews and Muslims, being wrong, but thinking they are right, each against the other and against Christians in questions dividing them, pray with people they consider as being wrong ...

I am reminded of Syncretism. Back when I was not yet Catholic or even baptised, I heard a sermon by one Lutheran clergyman. The reading had been about God's loathing of Syncretism. In order to illustrate, he took a tea bag, instant coffee, rose hip porridge in powder form, added cold water and two pieces of sugar, stirred. "Anybody want to drink this?"

As nobody volunteered, he considered that this is about how disgusting Syncretism is to God.

And I am very concerned that what was just done by Bergoglio and Arkhontonis, by Shimon Peres and by Abbas, Mahmoud, was to God's sensibilities also disgusting.

Assisi meeting of 1986 did not give peace. 2002 did not give peace, and that very clearly so. Why should I hope this will?

  • The victim survived the attack after crawling out of the woods and waving down a cyclist
  • She is in stable condition, but was 'a millimeter from death' after a stab wound nearly cut a major artery

Is there a Criminal in Buckingham Palace?

I have not heard or read the speech Her Supposed Majesty was to hold today. As I am Stuart minded, I posted the following to the homage page for HM King Francis II, and the initial "tomorrow" was corrected to "today":

I understand that Windsor Monarchs are seen as keeping up an institution that may be restored to the proper incumbents in some quarters.

By tomorrow there may be criminal in the Royal Castle:

The Christian Institute : Religious parents ‘could be criminalised’ under new law
Tue, 3 Jun 2014
http://www.christian.org.uk/news/religious-parents-could-be-criminalised-under-new-law/

Currently there are around 22,000 children on child protection registers for neglect, and a social worker can already intervene if the child is being subjected to emotional neglect.

The Children and Young Persons Act 1933 covers anyone who “wilfully assaults, ill-treats, neglects, abandons, or exposes [a child] or causes or procures him to be assaulted, ill-treated, neglected, abandoned, or exposed, in a manner likely to cause unnecessary suffering or injury to health including injury to or loss of sight, or hearing, or limb, or organ of the body, and any mental derangement”.

The proposed new parenting law has received support from Conservative MP Robert Buckland and was born out of a campaign led by the charity Action for Children.

Buckland said that “the criminal law should be brought into line with its civil counterpart.”

The civil counterpart should on the contrary be brought back into line with normal criminal law!

Where does "the Queen" come in?

"A sweeping parenting law, which may be included in the Queen’s Speech tomorrow, could criminalise parents with strict religious beliefs, a columnist has warned."

Ah, yes, she might have included it in the speech.

Oh, as the article is from yesterday, change my original "tomorrow" to "today".

By the way, Buckland is "Conservative"? With such Conservatives, who needs Commies! With such Conservatives, who needs Nazis!

British Parlamentarians have been a bad bunch a long time.

The Canadian case was also about securing the best interest of children against their parents. By being racialist, it was limited to targetting minorities. Bad enough, but non-racialist targetting of everyone (except the élitist clique who is running it all) does not exactly mend matters.

Update, 5th:

It would seem the offense has been committed:

And a Serious Crimes Bill will extend the definition of child cruelty to ensure it covers the most serious cases of emotional neglect and psychological harm, in a so-called "Cinderella law". The Bill will also outlaw written paedophile material.

Cinderella was not victim of a mother, but of a stepmother. How many statistical certainties that such and such parental behaviour will cause damage are really there because a "society" has stepped in as "Cinderella's stepmother" and done the real damage after blaming damageable behaviour on parents?

New Update, 6th:

Faculty there had become concerned, however, after the man’s 4-year-old daughter drew an image last Wednesday that they thought warranted investigation. It was a picture of a man holding a gun, and when teachers asked the girl to explain it, she said it was a depiction of her father.

“He uses it to shoot bad guys and monsters,” teachers say the girl explained.

The father says he doesn’t own a gun. Nor does he kill monsters.

Is Dan Kahan Depopulationist, somehow? So far, I don't know for sure

Here* is a good quote for you:

But let's start with a reprise of the basics — because one can never overstate how aggressively ignored they are by those who flip out & let loose with a toxic stream of ignorance & cultural zealotry every time a polling organization announces the "startling" news that nearly 50% of the US public continues (as it has for decades) to say "no" when asked whether they believe in evolution (in addition, if one asks how many of the "believers" subscribe to a "naturalistic" or Darwinian view as opposed to a "theistic" variant, the proportion plummets down all the more— for "Democrats" as well as "Republicans" blah blah blah).

First, there is zero correlation between saying one "believes" in evolution & understanding the rudiments of modern evolutionary science.

I think there is a point, unless the real correlation is rather negative.

I went through Junior High School answering tests on Evolution with the so called right answers and adding an abbrevation for the Swedish for "according to evolutionists" to every answer. And at the end of the test adding an expansion of the abbreviation.

I did not get many wrong on evolution. Senior High School I had first IB (preferring Physics and Chemistry above Biology, for an obvious reason), then switched to a literary line and answered a test on Natural Sciences which had a biology I was less well read on than the Evolution I disbelieved and still disbelieve, namely digestion. What are the names of the cells or organs that do what in the stomach or intestines ... beats me again. As I got the grade on only one test applicable for previous year my grades in Natural Sciences would have been better if I had got it on Evolution - with no credits off for stating disbelief.

Now, Dan Kahan had a good thing to say. Alas, he also gives some kind of voice to a very bad one. Not sure how conscious he is of the implications of his words. Here they are, with my emphasis:

In fact, neither is very likely to be able to, which means that those who "believe" in evolution are professing their assent to something they don't understand.

That's really nothing to be embarrassed about: if one wants to live a decent life — or just live, really —one has to accept much more as known by science than one can comprehend to any meaningful degree.

Does he mean one has to accept as known by science how electricity works in order to survive among the multitude of electric equipment?

But that is not really relevant for all of the world or indeed all of US. Some parts are very rural and very Amish like. And very decent lives are lived there.

Besides it is not true. Even for the parts of the world that are so equipped.

One can consider electricity as magic (not understood by the scientists, or being ignorant that scientists are studying effects and causes** rather than spells) and still comprehend that going near a wire that has fallen down in a storm will fry you.

One can consider electricity as magic and know it is deadly magic if you stick two knitting needles into a plug. And so on.

Or does he mean something much more sinister?

The next text is not by Dan Kahan. It is a comment on a blogpost on Phenoma*** - a small collective of bloggers who do it for National Geographic (another of them linked to Dan Kahan).

The comment is not by the blog post author, but by one nayab khan - perhaps no believer in Evolution, or at least not a decided one, but a believer in Over Population:

things are never the same.we cant know the future.in reality we dont even know how much time the world has exactly spent and how much will, the stars sun & moon etc all cant be expected to be the best for life existance for human beings but we can stop the over population and overgrazing & set the conditions of the earth .pix are amazing by the way.

OK, Dan Kahan, this thing of limiting the population, is THAT what you refer to when speaking about "just living really"?

Because, I am not sure until you answer whether that is really your take, if so that sounds like a pretty Nazi like thing to say.

Or does he just mean something along the lines of "curiosity killed the cat", perhaps? But I do not think it did.

Which is it Dan?
