Or, il y a un petit problème avec cette explication, qui est d'ailleurs la mienne: pour ce qui est des autres ambres, aussi du Déluge, pourquoi n'y a-t-il pas plus souvent des ammonites dedans? Parce que la déposition de la résine se faisait normalement sous les coquillages amenés d'ailleurs avec beaucoup de boue entre les couches, pendant le Déluge.

Le microbe devient alors l'ennemi public numéro 1, et ce pour des décennies. Oh, certes, un autre chercheur, le Russe Élie Metchnikoff, remarque bien que nous sommes habités par une myriade de microbes et émet l'hypothèse que ceux-ci seraient peut-être sympas finalement. Mais il est ignoré, et il faut encore attendre un siècle pour que les scientifiques s'intéressent de près aux bestioles qui peuplent absolument toutes les parties de notre corps en contact, direct ou non, avec l'extérieur : bouche, estomac, intestin, poumons, peau, organes génitaux ... Au tout début des années 2000, ils s’aperçoivent que les microbes sont bien plus nombreux qu'ils l'imaginaient - 100 000 milliards, rien que dans nos intestins. Dix fois plus que l'ensemble des cellules humaines dans notre corps! Ils donnent enfin un nom à ces squatteurs jusque-là si discrets : le microbiote.

Et ceci en connexion avec la question pourquoi Dieu a créé des bestioles comme Yersinia pestis et al. Bon, normalement Il ne l'aurait pas fait directement au début de la Création, il s'agit probablement des choses créées à l'origine pour fonctionner comme microbiote. Après la chute d'Adam, elles ont subi des mutations.

A study by meteorologist Anthony Watts found that almost 90 percent of the 1221 weather stations in the U.S. did not meet the National Weather Service’s setting standards, which requires that they be at least 100 feet from any artificial heat source or radiating surface. You can see some of the most egregious violators here. To deal with this defective information, climate scientists, have “adjusted” the data to solve this problem. Invariably, these adjustments have made earlier data show lower temperatures, and recent data show higher ones.

Depends a bit on whether it is education received as such, or education imposed, despite oneself or parents or both together.

In everyone? Is that necessary?

Universal solidarity in education, so as to have a conflict with lessened solidarity in actual politics?

Does he want a new Greta Thunberg, who is a bit too faithful to what her teachers taught ... I am not saying people like that cannot do good, and she is no more manipulated by Swedish education than any other true believer in it. But do we want a situation in which governments restrict solidarity more and more (sometimes for necessary reasons) and then education pushes someone else to the forefront?

How about adults already educated asking right now, how much solidarity are we able to afford, and how do we get it, instead of the next teen skipping both lessons and early marriage to make another protest? Early marriages and many children being what actually allows solidarity in practise, to exist and to not be suicidal.

And how universal does solidarity have to be? Must a Christian government be solidaric with Red China or with Muslim or Hindoo states that persecute Christians and - except Muslim ones - impose abortions?

"in a time of great fragmentation and extreme confrontation, we must unite our efforts, to create an educational alliance, to form mature individuals"

One does not clone and fastforward a mature individual by education who is able now to repair the fragmentation and confrontation.

And what passes for mature up to now may very well be suicidal once the confrontation gets going.

Being able to live within society may be a virtue, though not the highest.

Being able to live for it is not.

One should live for the Heavenly society, and only after that for the Earthly. A Global Compact on Education won't help to focus on the Saints in the real Fatherland.

After the failed humanism of Greco-Roman Paganism, there was a new Humanism created, and it created the Middle Ages, however, it was not created by men living for human society, but largely by men withdrawing from it.

St. Bennett of Nursia, St. Genevieve of Paris, St. Simeon Stylites ... and before them all, St. Paul the First Hermit and St. Anthony and St. Pachomius and St. Basil, and before these, the early Carmelites in the Holy Land, back since the days of Elijah, these are the founders of the new humanism that was the Middle Ages, these were NOT "able to live within society and for it".

St. Ignatius of Loyola certainly did form men living within and nearly even for society - but he was not trying to make this the only education everywhere and anywhere. It missed out on parts of Scholasticism and eventually gave rhetoric greatness to enemies of the Faith, like Voltaire.

"Every change calls for an educational process"

Education like the one for Sweden switching from Left to Right in car traffic on the roads is so not what education is meant to be about in general. However, it may be at the centre of what "Pope Francis" wants with this Global Education Compact.

Indeed:

"We cannot create a change without educating for that change"

A Progressivist view on change being desirable and education being a means for that desire. Education should be about things that stay the same, not the next change the government or a global élite want to change.

"An African proverb says that 'it takes a whole village to educate a child'."

And where is this African proverb from? Is it universal in all Africa? Is it even universal in all Black Africa?

There are certainly villages, where this is a functioning model : every adult and older child helping to educate every child, every younger than oneself.

I do not believe these villages are the model for all of the world. Some, many, perhaps all of them were 250 years ago somehow involved in slavery, in intra-African slavery. When Portuguese thought it was OK to take African slaves, not just from formerly Muslim territories where men were eager to combat Christianity and humiliate Christian slaves, but from everywhere in Africa, in practise in Black Africa, they were referring in part to this habit of intra-African slavery, as a slave hunter is deserving to be put to death or become a slave (including prison, which is also a kind of slavery).

Meanwhile, Austrians were not having slaves, and Wolfgang and Nannerl were not educated by a whole village or by whole of Salzburg, they were homeschooled by their father.

I think Austria is better than Africa, even if the example misses that at the point, Salzburg and Austria (Inner and Outer, Upper and Nether with Vienna) were both parts of Holy Roman Empire, and Salzburg not yet a part of Austria, but a little Church State (Like Papal States or Montenegro, and like very many centuries earlier the territories around Iona or around Lindsfarne or around Bishop St. Remigius or around the hermit St. Severin of Noricum).

"But we have to create such a village"

As in, there are no villages?

"All together, we can form young people and build a better future"

Oh, wait, he meant villagising the towns or even making all of the world a single village?

Of course, as a writer, I hope to influence young people. Old people read, but are less seldom influenced. But this "all together" forming young people means less openness on part of any one young man or woman to get influenced by a writer, not approved by the "all together" or by him in ways not approved by those claiming to approve him.

I am glad I was free to read Tolkien and to draw my conclusions in ways contrary to the modern world view, contrary to the society around me in Sweden. Like approving the Franco side in the Spanish War. Is this the freedom "Pope Francis" wants to take away? His solutions seem to threaten it ...

And as for "all together" "build a better future" I think Nimrod proposed that with a rocket project. And I think he knew as little about rockets, or about how irrelevant they are to a better future, as moderns know about education. That's why God ended it, with a fragmentation of mankind into many nations divided by first of all language.

Yeah, right, the one where God wants train crashes, as I stated in my blog post on that matter.

Why "first"? What is wrong with several good efforts made separately? As they are made separately, the one who is discriminated against on one place may not be so in another.

The document, on the other hand, allows no discrimination on account of simply stating adherence to one of the major confessions, does nothing against the discrimination against Fundamentalists, and even demands a kind of Discrimination against those "seeking confrontation" as that ideology would see it.

Södra Finnskoga, or what village?

Södra Finnskoga is instilling nothing in people from Fryksdalen. People in the Klarelf Valley have a saying aboout a good schnapps "den satt godt" says the one - replies the other : "som in knif i ryggen på en Fryksdaling" = "that one fixed it" - "as a knife in the back of a Fryks Valley man" ... Now, Södra Finnskoga is a real village.

What "Pope Francis" is speaking about is not, it is a fake ideology called "global village". Suppose a global village gets to "we educate children together" it will probably also get to dreaming of killing people of the other village. The local one, which refuses globalisation because of a local custom or trade situation - or the Catholic one, which refuses it because of preserving the dogma of the faith, even if it costs discrimination.

As to

they also have a way of separating people. As I found out when and after teaching in one village and that one nearer to Södra Finnskoga than to the Fryks Valley. When I had at least learned the local dialect well enough to dare to speak it, I had no longer anyone to speak it to.

No, studies, teachers, students, they are not THE things that unite people, and they do NOT always unite them, and when they do, often against someone else.

And I had forgotten about uniting all aspects of a person within him.

Usually, yes, but there are warnings in the Gospel for some situations.

Even when some of these get rotten to the core?

An intellect flirting with Ibn Khaldun? A scientific status quo accepted by civil society more than just flirting with Heliocentrism, Acentrism, Relativity, Big Bang, Abiogenesis, Darwinism, Millions and Billions of years, man becoming so gradually? Charities reducing every guest to the status of "should be looking for job and apartment" whatever his project, like in my case writer? And backbiting him before for instance police or psychologists or psychiatrists if he refuses to comply? That latter is what I think was done to me more than just once. I could be wrong, the charities could be innocent.

For other charities, I am sure not to be wrong when they have arranged for some people being able to be there for me to "talk me out of" Creationism, when it's these people who were less competent in relevant fields than I, even though they were into scientific rather than lettered pursuits.

Pitting hunger and the desire for coffee in a morning one woke up too soon against integrity and standing up for what one is trying to do is hardly uniting all aspects of my person. In the larger fields, these false ideas are not uniting people between them, except against others.

As for the business dimension, we know there will be a day when this unites the people living for earthly society against Christians. Unless it is already here.

A village - properly so called - can manage itself, but the world, global élites, cannot manage a village. And that is alas what is mean by "we".

What did I just say?

No one (presumably, with exception for evil conspirers who would hardly admit so openly) wants enmity with our home (beyond what God imposed, see Genesis 3, thistles and thorns growing in our way), but people differ on how an "alliance" should look.

A "global convergence" means some people override other people at very different coordinates, because they have better global connexions.

Say it to a grandchild of one, and to a grandchild faithful to his grandfather, you may even get a funny look.

I have, since being homeless, noted, the more foreigners from outside Europe there are in a University, the less tolerance there is for a homeless - no matter how many terms he studied before being homeless - to sit in University Libraries or use computers of an Institution.

You see, Paris and Oxford arose around beggar students (even if Paris soon got Colleges, Sorbonne and Navarre for instance, to change this awkward situation), but to a Japanese or an African, a University is a place of privilege and status and a poor man the reverse, they don't see the connexion.

Unfortunately, several Catholics are all too familiar with being told to shut up their contribution to dialogue which was an apologetic one.

Sometimes this is excused by telling them it was bad delivery, unpolite or whatever, but often in such cases, the one thing that was unpolite was simply insisting Catholicism is actually true. Or answering back angrily or even with milder irritation when some Protestant was treating one as childish because Catholic.

So, when "Pope Francis" says "dialogue among religions", one basically can know, he means a dialogue where other religions are allowed to dialogue high up on excluding topics from Catholic view, while their own or close enough are not respecting that exclusion.

A bit like Young Earth Creationism and Geocentrism are also excluded.

"A universal village, that is also a personal village which belongs to all."

I think personal villages belonging to all are much better made locally than globally.

When he goes on to root educational processes or the educational process, why not just education, in the awareness of an interconnected world and new solutions on every plane, he is basically asking for scares and hysterias all over the place.

Some would class Greta Thunberg as one and are asking who is manipulating her. The answer is Swedish education is and was manipulating her and her classmates and about everyone else in Sweden on all these issues. She is no more or less manipulated than everyone else, or nearly everyone. Her own initiative was acting on information or disinformation available to all, as far as one can humanly see. She is very far from the ugliest phenomenon imaginable, she has not even been very concrete about what solutions she wants, so she is not in fact promoting a definite and definitely wrong solution, except on the plane of leaving too much to what is publically perceived as scientific consenus and to experts belonging to the school which to the public is presented as consensual.

Others may promote real bad solutions and think it their vocation because being young they are the right age for the need to "find other ways to envisage" this, that or sundry.

"I invite each of you to be committed to this alliance."

That commitment could be some aspect of the mark of the beast.

He is inviting authoritative figures in our world already engaged in education, and he is hoping to educate men willing to offer themselves up "for the community" probably neither the Catholic nor national one, still less their own family, getting married, but international secularism.

He is inviting the undertaking of change without fear. Well, internationally directed change is to be feared. Even when one has been good, it has opened up doors for other changes internationally imposed that were bad. UNO is a bad partner and a worse master.

Qui donc, on? Le passif du latin et les pronoms "on" en français, "se" en espagnol s'utilisent quand c'est pas voulu de dire qui. Ici parce qu'on a déjà constaté que le "qui" est Patrice Huerre, mais parfois aussi par souci de rester vague.

À propos "lors d'une disette" ça semble une méthode très moderne de prendre les décisions, de faire de l'état, plus précisément du pouvoir législatif, un pompier contre les aléas de l'histoire.

Inexacte. Une procréation était certes illicite en cas d'adultère ou de fornication, aussi devant les tribunaux, mais l'aspect procréatif n'était pas puni en tant que tel, on ne réparait rien en avortant ou en faisant la contraception, les deux étant des crimes pires que fornication ou adultère, même passables de peine de mort.

Une procréation faite entre deux non mariés de statut social égal et de même religion catholique se réglait le plus souvent par un mariage fait après la procréation. Si le statut était inégal, on pouvait parfois avoir d'intérêts de la part de la famille supérieure en statut d'éviter cette solution, que l'église pouvait néanmoins parfois prôner et certes autoriser. Donc, si l'Église était forte, même alors un mariage était souvent la solution, si elle était faible, moins probable, mais les bâtards étaient normalement assumés par l'état militaire, donc par la noblesse.

Mais bon, le mariage était le prélude prévu par la loi pour procréer.

Voici pourquoi c'est pertinent qui est cet "on" .... l'âge canonique et typique au moins pour le Sud, Italie et Espagne, c'était 14 pour les maris, 12 pour les mariées.

Mais 15 reste une possible variation locale, quoique, en France, il me semble que l'âge était plutôt 14 pour la mariée. La mère de St François de Sales (mais c'est le Saint Empire encore en Savoye), et Marie Antoinette sont deux femmes suffisamment connues qui se sont mariées à cet âge. Par contre, si la France avait 15, alors ce serait par rapport à la loi du Saint-Empire.

Pour passer de là à 27 ... je me posais la question si l'endroit était un canton suisse ou une ville plus tard attaché à la Suisse? Mais Huerre semble être au moins installé en France. Ou si c'était une bévue pour 17, moins impossible. Ou si ça concernait les hommes et non les femmes.

L'âge me paraît invraisemblablement haut, sauf pour quelque petit endroit appauvri, un peu coupé du monde, pour le Moyen Âge. Pour l'Église catholique entière, déjà exclu par la discrépance, peu importante mais existante, vers l'âge canonique de l'Église.

Mais il a quand même précisé "pendant quelques années" ... pas forcément beaucoup.

Quand même, on n'aurait pas dû faire ça.

Quand même rafraîchissant après certains droitistes qui ont prétendu qu'au Moyen Âge l'âge canonique était beaucoup inférieur à l'âge réelle dans la vaste plupart des cas pour les femmes. Ce n'est pas ce que mes statistiques, tirés de centaines d'articles de la wikipédie, me confirmeraient.

642 + 72 + 59 + 16 + 11 + 9 + 4 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 7 + 5 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 856

138 + 2 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 4 + 4 + 6 + 4 + 10 + 6 + 17 + 23 + 41 + 84 + 73 + 731 + 5 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 1169

Le nombre réel de lecteurs différents est probablement entre les deux.

Et peut-être le nombre 642 des États-Unis est même une "fuite", et le plus grand nombre à retenir pour le normal serait 22 des États-Unis, une fois la "fuite réglée", empêchée de devenir virale.**

Ça pourrait être une petite piste pourquoi le nombre de pages vue sur ce blog tarissait très vite aux États-Unis.

Dans cette vision là, le nombre que "j'aurais dû" avoir serait 856 - (642 - 22) = 236. Un très grand écart par rapport à la version qui compte chaque page vue. Ou pour celle-ci, 1169 - (642 - 22) = 549, plus que le double que pour les 236 lecteurs minimaux.

Mais ça signifie alors que chaque personne dans son pays aurait vraiment vu beaucoup de mes blogs le même jour. En d'autres mots, une forme de surveillance. Et le stabilité des pages-vues en total dernièrement semble parler pour une surveillance en constance.***

Et ça me semble une entrave à la liberté d'expression.

Kirill of Moscow is Largely Wrong on Church and Science

I will be quoting an interview by Der Spiegel of the one considered Patriarch of Moscow by most who call themselves Orthodox (I have an Orthodox friend who called him pseudo-Patriarch, which is of course somewhat true also from Catholic perspective, since he is not in Communion with Pope Michael* and therefore not part of the Church). Der Spiegel's format was Spiegel: "...." / Kirill: "...." and my own here will be Spiegel: "...." / Kirill: "...." / HGL (myself): "....", perhaps also dividing some longer comments by Kirill into several phrases I answer.

Note in passing, the link gives his name in the German form, Kyrill.

SPIEGEL:

How do you feel about Orthodox priests who want to remove Darwin's theory of evolution from the curriculum, because it contradicts the story of creation in the Bible?

Kyrill:

The study of the physical world should not be the subject of religion, and for this reason the church should not misappropriate any scientific theories.

HGL:

The physical world bears witness to the Creator. Not just alludes vaguely or poetically, but bears witness.

Day to day uttereth speech, and night to night sheweth knowledge.

Psalm 18:3. Since days and nights are events, not people, there is some metaphor involved, but the words "uttereth speech" and "sheweth knowledge" and in other versions perhaps, unless it was another psalm, "testifieth" imply we are not dealing with a poetic allusion which can be taken poetically or missed prosaically, but a true information.

Kyrill:

The Catholic Church made this mistake when it preached geocentrism.

HGL:

It was not a mistake, but correct. And the Catholic Church did not exactly "preach" Geocentrism, but define it. Saying the Sun is the centre of the world and immobile is heresy, saying the Earth moves around it and also with a daily motion (around itself) is "at least erroneous". 1633.

Kyrill:

When scientists later discovered that it was not the earth but the sun that was at the center of our system, they were considered heretics.

HGL:

The definition did not deal with "our system", and scientists did not discover the Sun was centre of all movement in it, since they have so far offered no proof of Earth moving. Notably, Michelson and Morley tried to prove Earth moves orbitally (around the Sun) through the aether. Their experiment proved, either the Earth does not move orbitally, or there is no aether. Heliocentrics have preferred the latter interpretation.

Also, no scientist properly so called has been considered a heretic for only that.

Galileo risked it, but avoided it by abjuring. Copernicus' book was put on the Index well after he died. Bruno definitely was heretical for various other reasons, this is why he was burned on the stake (one of his judges was also judging a theory by Galileo, and the 1633 trial referred back to his trial, it was St. Robert Bellarmine).

And Kepler was of course heretic because Protestant, and also outside the jurisdiction of the Inquisition, so no need to call him a heretic for that. His master in astronomy was also heretic because Protestant, and even so he was referred to by St. Robert when discussing the evidence with Galileo.

No one single thing which Galileo directly observed (moons of Jupiter, stars making up Milky Way, faces of Venus) was condemned, and all of it was explained in Geocentric ways by Catholic astronomers like Riccioli.

Kyrill:

Copernicus was also a priest, and the Catholic Church of the day also saw itself as a community of science.

HGL:

Rather, the Catholic Church saw itself as having a certain competence in science where it touches theology. Which in Galileo's day, Heliocentrism did, because Galileo gave an alternative explanation for what happened in Joshua chapter 10 verses 12 and 13. One which contradicted all the Church Fathers who had commented on it.

Kyrill:

The Orthodox Church never did this.

HGL:

There have been minor condemnations of Heliocentrism by Orthodox priests too, and the Orthodox Church (which started out as part of the Catholic Church) has also seen itself as concerned in physical science where it touches on the physical creation's witness to God.

For instance, Photius in Bibliotheke reviewed adversely a book by Cosmas Indicopleustes, considering it ridiculous, and I agree, that the Earth was Flat according to Indicopleustes, but also considering it ridiculous, and I disagree, that angels move stars or celestial bodies in general.

SPIEGEL:

How would you approach Darwin's theories if you were a teacher?

Kyrill:

I would say that the theory has many adherents, but also a few unanswered questions. For instance, no one has provided precise proof of the transition from one species to another.

HGL:

Precise or not, there is at least fairly conclusive one, as long as we stick to the species level of modern classifications.

Especially if you believe the Bible.

How many couples of hedgehogs were there on Noah's Ark? I would say one couple. How many species of hedgehogs are there today, and I am not involving porcupines which are a totally different thing?

There are Four-toed hedgehog, or Atelerix albiventris, North African hedgehog, or Atelerix algirus, Southern African hedgehog, or Atelerix frontalis, Somali hedgehog, or Atelerix sclateri, four species of the genus Atelerix.

There are Amur hedgehog, or Erinaceus amurensis, Southern white-breasted hedgehog, or Erinaceus concolor, European hedgehog, or Erinaceus europaeus, Northern white-breasted hedgehog, or Erinaceus roumanicus, four more species, of the genus Erinaceus. We are up in 8 species.

There are Long-eared hedgehog, or Hemiechinus auritus and Indian long-eared hedgehog, or Hemiechinus collaris, two more species, of the genus Hemiechinus and we are up in 10 species.

There are Daurian hedgehog, or Mesechinus dauuricus, Hugh's hedgehog, or Mesechinus hughi, Gaoligong forest hedgehog, or Mesechinus wangi, three more species of genus Mesechinus, and we count 13.

Four more species belong to genus Parechinus, these being Desert hedgehog, or Paraechinus aethiopicus, Brandt's hedgehog, or Paraechinus hypomelas, Indian hedgehog, or Paraechinus micropus, Bare-bellied hedgehog, or Paraechinus nudiventris : and now we count 17 species in five genera.

I find it more credible that one pair of hedgehogs was on the Ark than that there were 17 pairs.

It is also very possible, either that the long eared hedgehogs developed because of a failure in a gene stopping growth of ears, or that others developed because of failure of a gene growing them. I prefer the former explanation, since a failure in the gene growing them would result in something like no ears at all .... and the European hedgehog has ears, though small and pointed ones.

It is very possible that Paraechinus nudiventris has no hairs on the stomach because a gene for growing those hairs failed.

It is possible even that nine more species, the Galericinae or gymnures (also five genera) have no spikes and only thick hairs, because some genetic change upset the level of keratin production in them. That would mean 25 species today descend from one couple aboard the Ark. With nearly five thousand years since the Ark, speciation is a clear option. Not sure how well proven it is that the species are not interfertile, that they should not rather be classed as subspecies, though. But currently they are classed as different species and even genera.

Kyrill:

It would be wrong to treat Darwin's theory as the only correct one. It is the leading theory today, but it could be replaced by another theory tomorrow. There was also a time when Marxism considered itself the only correct and scientifically justified theory.

HGL:

This is a fairly good observation.

SPIEGEL:

But you cannot equate these two theories. Besides, Darwin's theory is now largely undisputed.

HGL:

Both are ideologised, and "largely undisputed" does not mean "undisputed". Especially since we are dealing with a lot of gatekeeping, huushing up the fact or demonising the people who do dispute it.

Kyrill:

For the sake of objectivity, allow me to add that Darwin was a devout man.

HGL:

In fact, not very much, as far as we know. He was an Anglican of liberal bent and later (in connexion with his theory) apostasised.

By contrast, his disciple Huxley was opposed by a very devout man, the Anglican "Bishop" Samuel Wilberforce, son of the abolitionist and brother of one or two converts, one of whom has a descendant who is a "Catholic"* priest and opposed to abortion.

Vous venez d'écrire dans un folder que j'ai eu malgré moi (offert encore une fois quand je me réveillais d'un somme):

Avez-vous déjà vécu une expérience personnelle avec Jésus-Christ? C'est absolument indispensable pour accéder à la vie éternelle. Quelqu'un peut être très instruit dans les choses de la religion ou même de la Bible et cependant être perdu.

La dernière phrase est vraie, mais le reste, au moins comme il apparaît dans le contexte est faux. La belle-mère de St. Pierre aurait pu être sauvée pendant l'Ancien Testament sans avoir vu Notre Seigneur. C'est un cadeau précieux, mais pas indispensable pour son salut, si elle mourait avant la Crucifixion. Même à supposer qu'elle vivait après, ça lui aurait suffit de croire, et de l'aimer, même si ça aurait été à distance, sans l'avoir vu personnellement, et sans avoir reçu miracle sensible.

Pourtant, la dernière phrase est vraie. Car il faut aimer Notre Seigneur et être décidé de ne pas L'offenser par des péchés, ou si on a déjà commis après le baptême ou après la dernière bonne confession, s'en repentir pour ne pas L'offenser, et faire ce qu'il faut pour obtenir les sacrements du salut.

Certes, on peut comprendre "expérience personnelle" d'une autre manière, simplement par les sacrements et par l'amour (dans la foi correcte et dans l'espérance bien dirigée). Simplement de ne pas regarder Notre Seigneur comme un étranger. Là oui, c'est indispensable. Mais le contexte que vous donnez offusque ceci.

Or, vous invitez des jeunes à me voir comme quelqu'un qui a besoin de leur témoignage pour me convertir, pas de quelqu'un qui pourra aider à bâtir la foi. Il me devient très difficile de pardonner les offenses qui me laissent épuisé par trop peu de sommeil et trop de nourriture, tant que trop de gate-keeping* rend mes blogs inutiles pour l'instruction et l'éventuel salut des jeunes et pour mon propre revenu convenable. Ou sinon vous-même (mais c'est moins probable que vous m'ignorez) au moins vos partenaires à Cergy. Je pourrai un jour être damné à cause de ce genre de gate-keeping*. Damné car incapable de pardonner ceux qui m'offensent.

Entretemps, j'avais dit à un autre de ne pas me donner ce folder, car si citation biblique était dedans, c'était truqué, et comme prévu, votre commentaire l'était.

Chez certains, un malentendu honnête, peut-être? Au moins pour certains.

À propos le fait qu'en lieu d'un manuscrit papier ou un pdf ou word j'avais envoyé des liens vers les articles de mon blog, pour un propos de livre, et une autre fois, pour un autre propos, un article clef avec l'avis de me dire quels autres articles (sur quels sujets) je devrais y ajouter.

Oui, pas exactement pour un seul livre, vu que mon blog principal a déjà 618 articles en français avant celui-ci (y compris 2 brouillons) et 997 en anglais (y compris 2 brouillons aussi). Juste selon le marquage.

Mais 618 articles en français donnerait facilement 30 ou 31 livres en français, 997 en anglais donnerait facilement 49 ou 50 livres en anglais. Et davantage encore en comptant les messages publiés en hâte sans marquage ou sur d'autres blogs.

C'est à dire, quand je me mets à écrire, je ne pars pas de l'idée que, vue que je n'aurais pas l'habitude d'écrire, le peu que j'écris devrait en plus être encore reduit par un triage par quelqu'un qui aurait davantage d'habitude dedans, au contraire, vu que, de fait, j'ai l'habitude d'écrire, j'ai pris des bons modèles, je les ai lus et relus, j'écris moi-même tous les jours ou presque, très peu (si même quoi que ce soit) devrait être considéré comme raté, la vaste plupart devrait être considéré comme une chose en soi lisible et surtout pour ceux qui partagent mes goûts. Et je ne demande pas aux gens qui ne les partagent pas, de proposer leur autre goût comme un correctif au mien, je demande plutôt que là où le goût coïncide, ils profitent le plus généreusement pour republier ce que j'ai ici-même et sur mes autres blogs publics déjà publié.

C'est exactement pour ça que j'ai mis en place des conditions comme celles-ci:

Ce qui n'aurait pas de sens si je considérais les messages comme purement ou même de tout notes privés, des choses mises dans un tiroir quasiment. C'est vrai, des sites internet pourraient me servir de tiroir aussi (c'est le cas pour 109 brouillons, 108 avant celui-ci, dont certains ne seront pas publiés tels quels, plutôt le matériau de plusieurs condensés, dont d'autres ne seront pas publiés du tout et dont d'autres ne sont simplement pas encore publiés), mais une fois que j'ai publié une chose, elle vient de dépasser le stade de tiroir. Ou de "dans le tiroir".

En plus, même si ce texte sur les conditions s'applique dans le contexte sur ce blog là, il vient d'un autre blog (premier prédécesseur sur ce compte pour ce blog général) auquel il s'applique aussi, et je viens de mettre un lien envers lui de celui-ci même et en plus ce devrait avoir été et doit être dès maintenant claire du message sur ma production:

Ça s'applique à tous les blogs, avec un versement volontaire correspondants aux "frais de droits d'auteur" sauf que pour certains, au nombre de trois, j'ai renoncé en avance à ce genre de versement.

Sur Trento - Philaret (Catechisms) les messages, mais pas les pages, sont mises-à-côté d'œuvres d'autrui (les catéchismes de Philaret de Mascou et du Concile de Trente). Sur Palaeocritti Blog presque tous les messages sont (à quelque détails près ici-là) l'œuvre d'autrui en but de la préserver d'une destruction que je croyais imminente. Sur Kopiera oförändradt, sprid gratis j'ai mis des messages tellement urgents que je n'ai pas voulu embarrasser un éventuel républieur avec même l'idée d'un versement volontaire.

Pour d'autres blogs, l'idée est bonne pour ma part, mais on devrait normalement consulter autrui aussi (en cas de droits d'auteurs partagés, comme entre moi et autre débatteur ou moi et un auteur d'original derrière une fan fiction), et ceux-ci sont désormais marqués: (Includes posts for which apply the Copyright issues on blogposts with shared copyright).

Tout ce genre d'appareil pour inviter n'importe quel lecteur à se faire éditeur, si intéressé, n'auraient servi à rien si les messages en question étaient de ma part vus comme des choses privées, pas encore publiées, "dans le tiroir".

En plus, si je n'avais pas compté comme ça, j'aurais eu tort de compter mon écriture comme une production, ça aurait été un simple entrainement concernant moi-même et éventuellement quelque "mentor", mais pas le public, ce qui n'est pas le cas, je ne reconnais pas de mentor, ni individuel (après ceux que j'ai eus comme auteurs favoris), ni collectif. Et ma production est une production.

Donc, oui, je veux effectivement que mes blogs soient éventuellement republiés intégralement sur papier, et d'envoyer un lien vers le message d'origine sur mon blog où je l'ai publié est du bon sens de ma part. Ne pas en vouloir tenir compte était donc mauvaise foi ou mauvaise volonté honnêtement annoncée, mais pas ce qu'on appelle normalement bonne foi.

But in the case of a vision of Hell, it seems that there could be no object seen by one’s physical eyes. This is not because Hell is not real, but because it is not simply a material place that exists alongside the world as we know it.

Hell is not only real, but also, while it is not only a physical place (probably 6000 + km below our feet, around centre of Earth), it is a physical place.

Like Heaven. (Arguably a light day up or more. Above the fix stars.)

Why? Because risen bodies will be there. In Heaven, at least two already are there, Our Lord and the Blessed Virgin. In Hell, those who rise to shame and not glory will be there.

So, the place is there to be seen. So are most probably the flames : while they torture spiritual beings right now, fallen angels and damned souls, not only will they be tormenting for eternity the risen bodies of the damned, but God humbles the haughty demons by submitting what is spiritual to pains that originate in bodily things like fire and would normally affect only bodily things, and same is true for damned souls.

So, the place and the flames are there to be seen.

But what about the demons tormenting and the damned souls tormented? Pure spirits? Probably yes, though some Eastern theologians have begged to differ, some of whom are schismatics by now, but the point is, both angels and demons*, both saints from Heaven** and ghosts from Hell*** or Purgatory° can be given an appearance so they can be seen and heard by bodily eyes. This means, the one problematic thing is most easily solved by saying the tormenting demons and the tormented souls were allowed to appear.

In mystical theology, there are two possible solutions. [...] A second solution is that God permits a physical manifestation of Hell, one that the subject can observe with his bodily eyes.

The solution is already there in dogmatic theology and the permitting of a physical manifestation of what is normally not physical (in the case of damned souls awaiting resurrection : not physical yet) is correct, but not for Hell as place or for flames, but only for those residing in the flames.

However, normally this would be hidden by thousands of kilometers of rock between our feet and top storeys in Hell. Nevertheless, both angels and demons°° have the capacity to transmit images in a way that has inspired the invention of TV. God can obviously add timetravel to the transmission, as I believe He did for Daniel and on Patmos for St. John. Therefore, the transmission of imagery is also no problem.

So, the question is, how does someone purported to be a Catholic priest come to such extremes as to say "it seems that there could be no object seen by one’s physical eyes?" If it is a reflex of "videtur quod" in Thomistic articles of questions in the Summa, one would need to take into account this convention is very little understood these days, so little indeed that St. Thomas in some circles is accused of being an Atheist, due to writing "It seems that God does not exist;" - and also, unlike St. Thomas, you did not correct the false statement a few lines later on.

On the contrary, It is said in the person of God: "I am Who am." (Exodus 3:14)

If you have 26 letters, and if you add these to each other, how many possibilities do you have for numeric outcomes?

First combination of two is, A + A = 2 (in "gematria by 1") or 2+2*64 = 130 in ASCII. Next combination of two is value 3 or rather 131, you have two possibilities, either AB or BA. Midway you will have 26 possibilities for AZ, MN, NM, ZA and so on. At ZZ you are down to one sole possibility for 180, again.

First combination of three is, A+A+A = 3 or rather 3+3*64 = 195. It's one only. Next, 196, has three possibilities, AAB, ABA, BAA. One, then three, seems like triangle numbers? Well, yes, to a point.

You cannot get higher in triangle numbers than 1+2+3 ... +26, that is 351. Because next value will also only have 26 possibilities, like one for each letter of the third, and to the former two the diverse combinations, ranging from 2 to 26, which makes 25 of the letters, and then 25 only for Z. The latter, gradual, getting out of a dependance that might be bad in more catastrophic situations, is of course my preference, but I don't think it is all that likely, right now.

Le Moyen Âge avait très peu d'essayistes. On pouvait être expert dans tous les sujets. Or, on est essayiste dans un sujet dans lequel on n'est pas expert.

Soit parce que c'est un sujet dans lequel il n'y a pas d'experts encore, peut-être il n'y aura jamais. Soit parce qu'on conteste une chose accordée entre les experts.

Oui, on doit parfois contester ceux qui sont experts dans un sujet.

J'imagine que pas mal sont d'accord qu'on peut contester les experts en astrologie, en disant par exemple que le matériel empirique de base à leur expertise (tel nombre de verseaux qui font tel nombre de flaques en versant eau, café, vin, bière et j'en passe par maladresse, par exemple) est trop restreint et le paramètres de l'interprétation sont trop flous pour permettre de repérer correctement les exemples contraires).

Le problème est, l'astrologie n'est pas enseignée aux universités, la psychologie oui. Et certains diraient, voir pilpoul suivant:

Le fait d'avoir un matériel empirique trop restreint et des paramètres d'interprétation trop flous ne dépend pas de ce que les décideurs disent à propos les sujets à enseigner à la fac.

Et, il n'est pas non plus correctement réfléchi dans leurs décisions non plus. Pas automatiquement.

Prétendre le contraire, c'est se plier sous le pouvoir, certes pas directement le pouvoir politique, mais le pouvoir académique. Non, merci, je suis Catholique, donc pas Coco, Momo ou Talmudiste modernisé en Sioniste.

Je ne peux toujours pas savoir qu'ils vont continuer de le faire. Ça peut être un malentendu qui sera réglé demain.

Je viens de passer des bon moments devant un BusAbri.

Un homme vient de me dire qu'untel était venu il y a quelques semaines, sans rien. Aujourd'hui il a un logement et un travail.

Je demandais quel était son travail.

Dans la restauration.

Fort bien, je ne vise pas la restauration. Ce n'est pas la restauration qui valorise quelqu'un en tant qu'écrivain, même pour George Orwell, ce qu'il dit sur son temps à la restauration à Paris n'est pas la page qui valorise le plus sa qualité d'écrivain. Il y a des gens qui préfèrent 1984 ou La Ferme des animaux.

Or, il peut très bien avoir fait ce genre d'expériences pour mieux connaître la vie avant de se lancer comme écrivain, je ne suis pas Coco, je ne crois pas en Sozialrealismus, je déteste la Révolution culturelle du Maoïsme (les universitaires qui feraient mieux de se mettre en restauration ou sur les champs ne sont pas les culturels, mais des gens comme psychologues, socionomes etc. Ou des profs qui n'auraient pas une base d'élèves sans l'obligation scolaire, si le choix était laissé aux parents.) Donc, ce n'est pas un exemple à suivre pour moi. Donc, je ne vise pas la restauration. Et j'ai suffisamment d'articles pour ne pas devoir faire autre chose "en attendant".

Aucun éditeur auquel j'aurais confiance ne dirait ça, et les éditeurs qui le diraient sont ceux auxquels je ne fais de toute manière pas confiance.

Je ne veux pas dépenser mes jours à entendre des psychologues, médecins, psychiatres, et j'en passe, se mettre dans la peau d'un éditeur, quand ce à quoi ils pensent réellement n'est pas du tout un éditeur, mais un patron classique.

Je ne m'étonne pas qu'il y ait des Cocos et j'en passe, qui prennent ma démarche pour celle d'un déséquilibré, vus les pouvoirs excessifs des psychiatres et des préjugés psychiatriques, c'est leur meilleure tactique. S'il me prendraient pour un homme équilibré, ils seraient ... honnêtes, donc pas Cocos. Par exemple.

Et dito pour les patronalistes, qui veulent souligner les "hiérarchies" en considérant les sdf comme dessous les employés pour que ceux-ci soient nettement en-dessous d'eux-mêmes.

Le big business, c'est aussi un communisme.

Des gens qui me lisent en cachette et qui ne voudraient pas être repérés comme mes lecteurs, par exemple par un professeur ou un patron. Des gens qui considèrent que j'ai bien dit et que si des choses restent à dire me feront confiance de le dire aussi, tôt ou tard. Des gens qui ont prié pour que je sois confronté à un argument plutôt que de me le proférer en personne, même anonymement en commentant sous un pseudonyme très anonymisant. Peut-être dedans des Chrétiens (voir Catholique modernistes) qui pensent mes positions catholiques "malades" et prient Dieu de me "guérir".

Et, comme vous pouvez savoir, il y a des gens en France qui pas seulement ne sont pas d'accord, mais encore voudraient que personne d'autre soit d'accord. Il y a des gens pour qui ça égale automatiquement "obscurantisme" et la France "est quand même le pays des Lumières" ... un raisonnement que je qualifie, moi, d'un raisonnement et d'une attitude obscurantiste.

Certains m'ont reproché d'être trop proche des T d J

Vous savez, être créationniste jeune terre et être géocentrique, c'est du "fondamentalisme" comme on dit.

Et, les T de J (fondés par Charles Taze Russell, niant la Trinité et la Divinité du Christ, ayant considéré 1914 comme l'an quand Il allait revenir ...) comptent comme une secte "fondamentaliste".

Or, ils ne sont ni créationnistes jeune terre, car p. 26 de leur brochure "La vie a-t-elle été créée ?" prétend:

... par contre, la formulation des chapitres 1 et 2 de la Genèse montre qu'ils se sont étendus sur de très longues périodes.

Et leur raison de prétendre que le Soleil "existait déjà" (avant le premier jour) est bien entendu que dans l'Héliocentrisme, la Terre doit débuter en orbite autour du Soleil, comme partie du "système solaire".

P. 5 le dit plus directement:

La "rue" de la Terre, autrement dit son orbite au sein du système solaire, est également exceptionnelle. ... De plus, le trajectoire suivie par la Terre est presque circulaire, nous gardant à peu près à la même distance du Soleil toute l'année.

Ils ne sont pas géocentriques non plus, alors.

Je crois qu'il vaut mieux admettre que ma position est en partie due à la lecture de St. Thomas d'Aquin, et nullement à une propensité de suivre les conseils des T de J. Ils ne sont pas ma lumière théologique.

Par contre, je leur dis bonjour, je prends parfois surtout "Réveillez-vous!" comme je prends aussi DirectMatin : lecture gratuite.

PS : très obviement, je suis contre leur négation de la Trinité, comme de leur "restaurationnisme" (théorie d'une église disparue vers le temps de Constantin et reconstituée après, que ce soit par études ou par révélation). The memorial day was partly due to a German association or two or three, who were willing to hear about misdeeds committed by their own three quarters of a century ago.

In the same paper, there was an article on Yury A. Dmitriev, who, having held fast to memories of Stalinist atrocities at Sandarmokh and Krasny Bor rather than pretend they were perpetrated by Germans or even Finns during the Winter War or Continuation War, got accused of pedopornography.

Sandarmokh has drawn visitors from many countries, including Ukraine since many leading members of the country's Executed Renaissance were shot there. It remains a focal point for the many national diasporas represented in Karelia itself.[31] Since 1998, an annual Day of Remembrance has been held at Sandarmokh on 5 August, the date when the NKVD in Moscow issued instructions to its regional bodies to begin the Great Terror.[32] For many years the event had official support and recognition.

On 5 August 2016 the Day of Remembrance at Sandarmokh was marked, as always, with speeches and a gathering of those who had come from Karelia and beyond to attend the event. The event was opened by Yury Dmitriev and Irina Flige,[33] the director of the Memorial Research and Information Centre in St Petersburg, who had found Sandarmokh, with Dmitriev and her late husband Veniamin Ioffe (ru: Иофе, Вениямин Викторович) in early July 1997.[34]

For the first time, Dmitriev and Flige noted, not a single official was present, whether from the local, republican or federal authorities. No Orthodox priests were in attendance and, another first, there was no solemn religious procession led by the cross. This was an opportunity, suggested Dmitriev and Flige, for people to say just what they thought. They invited anyone present to address the gathering on the sole condition that he or she introduce him or herself before speaking. The speeches that day were recorded and the resulting 28-minute film was posted on the Internet.[35]

Starting in 2016, there were attempts to revise this account of the shootings at Sandarmokh, and claim that among the dead were Soviet POWs shot by the invading Finns in 1941-1944. There were newspaper articles and TV broadcasts in Russia; there was also a publication in the Finnish press.

The motivation behind this claim and the supposed new evidence were both challenged. In a lengthy and detailed investigation, Russian journalist Anna Yarovaya examined the evidence and interviewed historians and those who had found the site. She talked to Finnish historians of the Second World War; Irina Flige of the Memorial Society and Sergei Kashtanov, head of the district administration where the killing fields were found. She also interviewed Sergei Verigin, one of the Russian historians putting forward the new hypothesis. Russian newspapers and television had talked of "thousands" of POWs being shot by the Finns and buried at Sandarmokh: speaking on the record to Yarovaya, Verigin was more cautious and spoke of dozens and hundreds.[27]

By contrast, in Maillé, a woman who was on that day a girl having her ninth birthday tells of her memories, and a German who listens assures he came for solidarity, not for curiosity. She was well chosen for speaking up, because she lost 19 members of her family. German prosecutors can still sue those who committed these things, though Gustav Schlüter, the commander, already died peacefully in his home in 1965.

One more point : Maillé had 500 inhabitants up to the killing of 124. While the village was very marked by the event, the massacre was by far not the greatest under the Second World War. Even so, Germans still feel responsible, even guilty. Sandarmokh is a mass grave with 9000 dead.

Indeed, the target is private property, and all it represents. Think about the adage, “A man’s home is his castle.” That is more than a clever saying; it is a doctrine of English Common Law. It meant that the owner of a home, however modest, has the right to defend it against trespass. That defense includes usurpation at the hands of the government. The Constitution alludes to this idea by limiting the government’s power of eminent domain.

Now, it may be the case that things, normally falling under private property, can be forbidden because ecologically bad.

However, this is open to abuse. A year ago or so, Paris forbade heating with fireplaces connected to chimneys. This is, among other things an attack on the poor who may at times heat the fireplace by wood collected in woods or among fruit baskets, when regularly bought wood is not available.

Other heating methods involve dependence on big companies, public or private, but definitely not small business, mostly, even if you can theoretically still heat with large gas heaters, they too cost money, the gas cannopt be collected by going into the woods or watching market fairs for discarded wooden fruit baskets.

That said, fireplaces emit particles that are not too good for human health, and Paris is also limiting car use, in order to fight pollution.

However, the question with the lawn is not a question of emitting particles, and it would seem, lawns are some good things in fighting desertification. Perhaps not the ideally best thing, but good things even so. If Edwin Benson can be doubted on this one, how about looking at an expert in fighting desertification, namely Savory whom I referred to back here:

If anything, one could forbid neighbourhoods imposing on each house owner to mowe the lawn low. A lawn with high grass is perhaps less good for mini-golf or crocket or pétanque (interest in these sports vary), but it is more like a prairie, and either way, it's not just the state, but also the neighbourhood, which should leave a person free among the things he owns.
