Qui t'offrirent, joyeux, leurs coeurs et leurs hommages ;
Du cortège innocent
Qui te donna son sang,
Oh ! souviens-toi !

Bonum Festum Sanctorum Innocentium

Christifidelibus exopto./HGL

Why Do they Remain Single?

Conversely, the number of children born to unwed mothers between the ages of 15 and 19, has continued to grow more rapidly than any other maternal age group —from 55,695 in 1990 to 66,859 in 2000—a percentage leap from 10 percent to 22 percent. According to The World Bank 2000 report, Feminization of Poverty in Russia , these under-aged, single mothers, together with single elderly women, are now the highest risk population groups for "stagnant and exceptional poverty - the poorest among the poor."

It is good that Silvia, Queen of my Country Sweden, is at least supporting teenaged mothers — in Russia.

What is less good is that Swedish as well as Russial laws or perhaps rather ungodly pseudolegislations are forcing some of these mothers to remain single.

At least in Sweden that is causing a lot of teens to depend on parents who force them to abort.

This is wrong, and during older laws - which really were godly and thus really were laws, not just pseudolegislation - a mother of 15 or even of 13 would be wed to the father of the child in quite a lot of the cases.

A by
Hans-Georg Lundahl,
Studied religions as curious parallels and contrasts to Xtian faith since 9, 10?

A Written Wed
The requirement “historical” and “not religious” is fairly contradictory.

You can’t get ANY historical documentation of these times which is not somehow or other religious.

But perhaps you meant specifically outside the Christian religion.

If we go to the events of the Gospels, well, not very much documentation, unless you accept, as perhaps you should, the Acts of Pilate as genuine.

Jewish smear campaigns on how Christ did His miracles are smear campaigns, not documentation - but they do document that He did work miracles, as “magic” would not have been an option if he had only been preaching.

As to the events in Acts, in general it is fairly well attested that Christians existed about that time and were targetted by Pagan Rome.

See Tacitus, Suetonius and perhaps a few more.

Dear Quora Moderation
Yes, I think it is an error on your part.

It is an error not to allow someone who knows about Toledoth Yeshu type Rabbinic literature not to call that Jewish smear campaigns.

And it includes the accusation, at least if you look at the end of Toledoth Yeshu, most probably levelled at Jesus, of Jesus having learned magic in Egypt and gained magic powers by the sacrilege of tattooing the Divine Name on his skin.

Or, if you thhought I was too snarky to a man who had asked, "Is there any historical (NOT religious) documentation of the events described in the Bible's New Testament?" by telling him "the requirement “historical” and “not religious” is fairly contradictory," and "you can’t get ANY historical documentation of these times which is not somehow or other religious," it is an error on your part not to allow for my being aware of facts which make his question rather ludicrous about its formulation.

Especially, since I just after it added a non-snarky and fairly respectful suggestion like "but perhaps you meant specifically outside the Christian religion," after which I proceeded to provide that.

I really and truly think either of these causes of considering my answer as violating the BNBR policy as tantamount to making it a hindrance to freedom of information, a boon to people who don't know and who are politically correct, insofar as they wish not to be corrected by anyone knowing better, and a hindrance to anyone with some knowledge of the historical matters here at hand.

Thank you in advance for responding to my appeal, which will contain this link after a copy of these words.

D'abord, 1013 = 10 000 000 000 000.

Ensuite, 243 = 8 796 093 022 208.

Donc, 1013 ≈ 243.

En fait, quand on tape 10x sur la calculatrice pour 13/43, on arrive à 2,0059753011004145503368445918337.

Encore, il y a aussi 103/10.

103 = 1000. 210 = 1024.

Donc, 103 ≈ 210.

Et quand on tape 10x sur la calculatrice pour 0,3, on arrive à 1,9952623149688796013524553967395.

Or, la proportion 2:1 se trouve entre la proportion 2006:1000 et celle de 1995:1000. Donc, pour avoir 10x "=" 2y (ce qu'on n'aura jamais tout à fait), il faut que x/y se trouve entre 13/43 et 3/10.

Essayons.

0,3023255813953488372093023255814 (13/43)
0,3 (+ 3/10 =)
0,6023255813953488372093023255814 (:2=)
0,3011627906976744186046511627907

Or, 10x pour 0,3011627906976744186046511627907 = 2,0006116372359750002448174178255.

Et, en effet, 20006:10000 est plus proche de 2:1 que 2006:1000.

Le logarithme pour 2:1 est donné comme 0,30102999566398119521373889472449.

0,3011627906976744186046511627907 (voir plus haut)
0,30102999566398119521373889472449 (à soustraire, le logarithme de 2, ce qui =)
0,00013279503369322339091226806621

The Galileo Affair

[Note that most of his answer is very correct. I am only quoting what I took debate on.]

...

3. "The Church condemned heliocentrism because it believed the Bible had to be interpreted literally."

The Catholic Church did not (and does not) teach that the Bible had to be interpreted literally. In fact, the idea of Biblical literalism is a very modern notion - one that arose in the USA in the Nineteenth Century and is exclusively a fundamentalist Protestant idea. The Catholic Church, then and now, taught that any given Bible verse or passage could be interpreted via no less than four levels of exegesis - the literal, the allegorical/symbolic, the moral and the eschatological. Of these, the literal meaning was generally regarded as the least important. This also meant that a verse of scripture could be interpreted via one or more of these levels and it could potentially have no literal meaning at all and be purely metaphorical or symbolic.

Therefore the Church had no problem with learning that a passage which had been interpreted literally could no longer be read that way because we now have a better understanding of the world. So many passages were originally interpreted by very early Christians as indicating the earth was flat, but by the time Christianity spread to more educated converts, it was clear this reading was contrary to the knowledge that the earth is actually a sphere, so these passages came to be read purely symbolically.

All this means that the Church was quite capable of changing its interpretations of scriptures that seemed to say the earth was "fixed" etc if it could be shown that this was not literally the case. It just was not going to do so before this was demonstrated conclusively - something Galileo had not done. As Cardinal Bellarmine noted on his 1616 ruling on Galileo's writings:

If there were a true demonstration that the sun is at the centre of the world and the earth in the third heaven, and that the sun does not circle the earth but the earth circles the sun, then one would have to proceed with great care in explaining the Scriptures that appear contrary, and say rather that we do not understand them than that what is demonstrated is false. But this is not a thing to be done in haste, and as for myself I shall not believe that there are such proofs until they are shown to me.

Bellarmine was no scientific ignoramus, since he had previously been a university lecturer in natural philosophy in Flanders and was well acquainted with the state of the cosmological debate. So he knew, as Galileo knew, that most scientists of the time still favoured geocentrism and heliocentrism was far from proven. As it happens, once heliocentrism was proven, the Church reconsidered and reinterpreted those scriptures precisely as Bellarmine proposed they should.

...

Hans-Georg Lundahl
"The Catholic Church did not (and does not) teach that the Bible had to be interpreted literally."

False.

"In fact, the idea of Biblical literalism is a very modern notion - one that arose in the USA in the Nineteenth Century and is exclusively a fundamentalist Protestant idea."

In the 19th C there was a split and it is arguable that the literalist faction of Reformed confession became more so than Reformed had been previously, but they did not become more so than Catholics had been previously.

"The Catholic Church, then and now, taught that any given Bible verse or passage could be interpreted via no less than four levels of exegesis - the literal, the allegorical/symbolic, the moral and the eschatological."

Factoid.

Change "could" to "should" to make it a solid fact.

"Of these, the literal meaning was generally regarded as the least important."

Yes, but even so too important to be dispensible.

"This also meant that a verse of scripture could be interpreted via one or more of these levels"

Yes.

"and it could potentially have no literal meaning at all and be purely metaphorical or symbolic."

No. Here is where the factoid factor in your explanation comes in.

Read up on it in St Thomas. Prima Pars, Q1, AA9 and 10:

The nature and extent of sacred doctrine (Prima Pars, Q. 1)
http://newadvent.com/summa/1001.htm#article9

The nature and extent of sacred doctrine (Prima Pars, Q. 1)
http://newadvent.com/summa/1001.htm#article10

"Therefore the Church had no problem with learning that a passage which had been interpreted literally could no longer be read that way because we now have a better understanding of the world."

Total rubbish.

"So many passages were originally interpreted by very early Christians as indicating the earth was flat,"

Needs proof.

"but by the time Christianity spread to more educated converts, it was clear this reading was contrary to the knowledge that the earth is actually a sphere, so these passages came to be read purely symbolically."

The explanations for Earth being round in view of this or that passage were actually more usually of a type explaining how even a very literal reading did not contradict Earth being round.

And, for the record, Lactantius who was probably very clearly a Flat Earther was later than St Augustine, not earlier.

"As it happens, once heliocentrism was proven, the Church reconsidered and reinterpreted those scriptures precisely as Bellarmine proposed they should."

Saying St Robert proposed a readjusted reading is over the top, he thought none would be needed and said he conditionally redoubted one.

And Earth has not been proven to either rotate or orbit the Sun.

"(the stellar parallax problem was not definitively answered until 1838)"

Has not been answered to this day, since they were discussing the parallax a sphere of fix stars would show when observed from Earth of Earth were moving.

With the 1838 phenomenon, you either throw out the sphere of fixed stars - or the parallactic interpretation of that phenomenon.

Tim O'Neill
Very little of the confused comments above are worth responding to in detail, even when I can work out what the hell they mean. Especially when they contradict each other - first you say the idea that “Catholic Church did not (and does not) teach that the Bible had to be interpreted literally” is “false” but two comments later you’re accepting the four levels of exegesis, of which the literal is only one. You seem highly confused.

Try Richard J Blackwell’s Galileo, Bellarmine, and the Bible (1991) - that should help you.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
Sorry, but *all four levels* of exegesis were obligatory as true.

Why didn’t you check the reference I gave in Summa Theologiae?

Since all four levels were obligatorily regarded as true, the literal, being one of the four, was obligatorily regarded as true.

The only confusion involved is on your side.

Tim O'Neill
You think I don’t know and understand all this? Seriously - go away.

Well, I actually think he is confused on two accounts:

  • a) possibility of using figures of speech within the literal sense taken as if not radically differing from non-literal senses;
  • b) possibility (actually obligation) of using three non-literal senses taken as if a possible alternative, rather than addition, to the literal one.

I also know from earlier, he has a deep disdain for literalist Christian believers.

That became the occasion for starting my apologetic blog "against atheism" (in general, not in the particular of Genesis, where Creation vs Evolution is my blog for the answer). See first blog post on the blog "somewhere else" (which is against atheism):

somewhere else : Somewhere else than where exactly?
http://notontimsblogroundhere.blogspot.com/2011/03/somewhere-else-than-where-exactly.html

But yes, I truly find Tim O'Neill confused and prompoting bad history on this issue. Since he refers to Hannam, who is also confused on this issue. I did not quote the end of his comment, but he referred to Hannam.

Here I refer to my debate (short, but extant) with the same Hannam:

Correspondence of Hans Georg Lundahl : With James Hannam on Whether Bible and Fathers Agree or Not on Shape of Earth
http://correspondentia-ioannis-georgii.blogspot.com/2015/04/with-james-hannam-on-whether-bible-and.html

Note than on this issue, of "four corners", I differ in solution from St Robert Bellarmine. He translates the word as "four quarters", which is always possible. I consider that four corners requires a globe map, not a flat earth map, to get in all the countries we know of. Either way the solution is however inside "sensus literalis" and not invoking any "sensus allegoricus". Precisely because we are both very aware that even the sensus literalis has to be scrupulously observed as literally true. Note that - which Tim O'Neill did not note - St Robert Bellarmine is "proposing" to if so "proceed with great care in explaining the Scriptures that appear contrary, and say rather that we do not understand them than that what is demonstrated is false".

But saying one does not understand, for one thing was never the thing of the Church and for another is still totally within the sensus literalis.

Note, he did not use any reference to "sensus allegoricus" in the quoted passage.

Bérulle actually recommends "heliocentrism in the allegoric sense" or in the moral one, as much as he is NOT recommending it in the literal one.

Joshua's long day, Sun allegorically signifies Jesus Christ, routing the enemies signifies exterminating one's sins, which takes the light of Christ, and "heliocentrism" in this context signifies it depends on Earth - the sign for the human soul in this context - to stand still under the Sun. Allegorical "geocentrism" would probably have been saying it is the Sun who choses to stay above this spot of Earth so enemies can be routed, i e looks a bit like predestination. Or why not, have Joshua signify the priest on whose words the Sun stands still over a spot of Earth so it can be cleaned from the enemies.

But in the literal sense, that is where Joshua's long day is about - Joshua's long day. Where the six days of Creation and the seventh day of rest from creating new (kinds of) things is about Creation and so on.

Those who wish to abuse the concept of sensus allegoricus (I take it Hannam is of that ilk, I take it he is Heliocentric and Old Earth Creationist or even Theistic Evolutionist), should take note of this, but they don't. They miss that any sensus allegoricus on Joshua X would be about something else than Joshua's long day, that any sensus allegoricus of Genesis 1 or 2 would be about sth else than Creation (part of Genesis 2 being allegorically about Good Friday).

Yes, I think Tim O'Neill and his "Catholic" or not so very Catholic in this respect authority James Hannam do miss a thing or two, and do not understand the Quadriga Cassiani, the tradition of exegesis in Four Senses, quite as well as I do. And I remain confident my judgement will remain the same after reading Richard J Blackwell’s Galileo, Bellarmine, and the Bible (1991), should I have occasion to read it.

Are the Times Apocalyptic?

I mentioned in a debate it could be useful to know angels are actually doing a choreography, when it comes to the sign which is upcoming next year.

Revelation 12:1 Sign Will Appear In 2017!
vaticancatholic.com
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOiHtFVn2JA

I got a response that the sign was not angels doing anything, just a natural prodect of ongoing process AND that, unlike the claim made by Vatican Catholic, the sign does not appear the first time.

Here is their description:

"According to non-Catholic astronomers who have studied and looked at how these constellations have moved and will move around in the future, this will be the only time in history things will all line up like this."

I think they are repeating the information bona fide.

Now, the reasoning behind the co-debaters claim this is not the first time is this : all of the planets are moving periodically and so this line up is also periodical.

Fair enough as far as it goes. In an infinite past and infinite future, the line up would be happening an infinite number of times.

But the time is actually limited.

This means, we can meaningfully ask whether the line up has or has not previously occurred since creation.

Now, before we go into this, let us do a little maths.

Venus, Mars, Mercury all have shorter circuits "around the Sun" than history has taken. It is very certainly not that long since Venus was where it will be in the line up, not that long since Mars was where it will be in the lineup, not that long since Mercury was where it will be in the lineup. Can it reasonably be a significant time since they all were together in same lineup?

Now, here is where some maths is useful.

Let us take a case with natural numbers - the ones which, unlike "real numbers" really are numbers. Since locusts only live one season per year as doing the thing they do before our eyes, locusts can be a good simile for starting points.

If one tribe or species of locusts swarms every five years, and one other swarms every six years, they will both be swarming every thirty years.

In year five from last time, only first will be swarming, in year six only second will be swarming, in year ten only first, in year twelve only second and so on. But in year thirty they will both be swarming.

Assume we were dealing with three tribes of locusts. Assume that the third tribe swarms every nine years.

In that case, the three tribes will be swarming together every 90 years.

We do not need to multiply 30 with 9 to get 270, it is enough to multiply each prime factor as its highest exponent.

A - prime factor 5.
B - prime factors 2 and 3.
C - prime factor 3 squared.

Three squared times two times five gives ninety. Since no number of interval years has "three cubed" we do not need "three cubed".

Next question is what happens if there is instead a tribe which has an interval of another number not sharing same primes. Say, every seven years.

Now, seven is lower than nine, so perhaps the interval for the common swarming of three tribes would be lower than ninety? No.

A - prime factor 5.
B - prime factors 2 and 3.
C' - prime factor 7.

Thirty times seven gives two hundred and ten. Between those periods, the tribes of locusts will swarm one by one or two by two, but only after two hunudred and ten years all three together.

So, what happens with planets?

I would definitely say, periods are longer - I just checked that only once every 83 years does Jupiter match the requirements. Last time Jupiter alone behaved like it will behave next year, was in 1934.

Because, the maths I was going to just hint at about planets, and hint that last time the line up was, it was before modern telescopes and such, a youtube user called chisza7 has already done in detail.

His conclusion : once in 7000 years. But here is the video:

How rare is the Revelation 12 Heavenly Sign [23 September 2017] Once in 7000 Years
chisza7
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXxVwpcXV0U

Note, I have not come to where he makes the final countdown, I am not sure if "7000" isn't an approximation. I think it is, I think we must be dealing with some multiple of 83 close to 7000.*

83*84 = 6972
83*85 = 7055

No idea which of the rest match up better with the other planets.

If the Vulgate chronology were the correct one, that would mean that "last time" this line up happened was before creation.

If - as I do - we go by Roman Martyrology for December 25, we get these dates:

7216 7216 7216 Second Lineup ? Anno Mundi 7000 6972 7055 distance in years 0216 0244 0161 First Lineup ? Anno Mundi

So, first lineup would have been while Adam was alive, before or after Seth was born.

What if we go by the other LXX based chronology, the Byzantine one?

7525 7525 7525 Second Lineup ? Anno Mundi
7000 6972 7055 distance in years
0525 0553 0470 First Lineup ? Anno Mundi

Either way, if chisza7 is right, it was very long ago.

And since Adam was alive, it would perhaps have been a prophecy to him about what is going to happen now.

But apart from what Adam can have known, next year is probably the first time this great sign will actually appear in Heaven, for another reason.

Adam was probably not using telescopes. We are.

This means we can be watching the whole configuration of stars and planets, even if the Sun is there in the middle of it.

Without the Sun being there, we would not have the apocalyptic sign that the Woman is "clad in the Sun".

With it before telescopes, and matters or filters, we would not have been able to watch the sign in integrity.

And the verse which begins Apocalypse 12 is

And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars:

Et signum magnum apparuit in caelo: mulier amicta sole, et luna sub pedibus ejus, et in capite ejus corona stellarum duodecim:

To the naked eye, this configuration cannot appear. We cannot look at the sun. If we look at the approximate direction, we look at day time sky, meaning that we miss all the stars because of daylight.

If we look at it on one meridian as sun just has set or on another one as sun is just going to rise, we miss either upper or lower part of the sign.

Either by miracle or by telescopes, the next year the sign is astronomically speaking set to be there in a time when it can also appear.

Therefore, I do tend to think this is Apocalyptically significant.

* It could be that instead it is 83 which is an approximation and 7000 which is exact, or both are approximations. In the latter case, previous time (supposing chisza7 got the astronomical maths right) of the lineup, but not of an appearance of the entire sign, may have been when Seth was born, 205 Anno Mundi./HGL PS, sorry, 230 Anno Mundi!/HGL

On Printing by Xerox (Quora)

My Q
Has Anyone Tried printing Books on Xerox Machines?

My Comment
Not meaning on specific printers or printing cards used for printing e-books, but a) using a normal copy machine, able to diminish A3 > A4, b) printing books which were not books before he started printing.

Answers
and except for my own, interspersed with my comments.

For my part, I have.

Using my own blogged or handwritten texts, and laying side by side the 8:1, 2:7, 6:3, 4:5 etc. pages manually.

Harry Parker,

Any printer can be used to print the pages of a book. The difficult part is how to bind the book. This could be done manually or by machine.

Multiple options for book binding exist, depending on the size of the book and how many copies you want to make.

Xerox makes and sells multiple kinds of “finisher” options for their copier/printers, some of which can be used to bind books.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
I have done, so far, like this:

  • copying by machine (with foldable print sheets)
  • manually folding, binding and cutting (somewhat amateurishly)

If you want to print small quantities like 1 to 10 copies, you can get the books photocopied (widely known as Xerox in India) to save money. Further get it bound like this

This is the fastest & cheapest option.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
I do not think that that binding you show is great.

I prefer to copy double sided sheets with in total eight book pages, four each side, then fold, then bind manually.

It seems, even above 10 copies, xerox remains cheapest for a while.

Absolutely. I once had a a 4365. At the time I had a small commercial print shop and used the 4365 more than I used my offset or letterpress equipment. I specialized in short run books. Most of my books were either 48 or 96 page, but I printed books up to a little more than 500 pages. The largest one was a family history book with hundreds of photos.

The 4365 was far more efficient than the offset or letterpress machines and the photo quality was almost as good. Even better I could efficiently print a single copy or hundreds of copies for the same unit price.

More recently I was employed by Office Depot for a couple of years and we were using more modern Xerox work stations. They were far more efficient and have many more features, but not as fun to operate.

Moh Rafat H

actually, xerox has a very good range of products, that can compete offset print pres.

u can print books easily using a combination of software, printers, and finishers,

the problem that offset printers are very cheap for high quantities, so for example, if offset is used, it can be better for higher number of copies, faster, and cheaper, but if you want let us say 1000 copy or less, printers, such as xerox, in certain product ranges, could be cheaper, and for sure faster.

Hans-Georg Lundahl
Oh, so you mean anyone wanting to try out a book in a kind of fanzine format before deciding on greater issues would be well advised to use Xerox rather than offset?

424 light years - light day : somewhat greater reduction, if needed?

It is considered a very old pulsar with an estimated age of 166 million years and a rotation period of 0.8 seconds.

No actual size given, but I think the "apparent sizes" were comparable, and so are the distances considered as correct.

A rotation period of 0.8 seconds does fit a bit better with an object of 1 dm diameter than an object of 14 km diameter, right?

What were the apparent magnitudes again?

RX J1856.5-3754 : ~25.6
PSR J0108-1431 : ≤ 27.8

If apparent magnitudes are comparable, the real ones would also be comparable in the sphere of the fixed stars. And if apparent magnitudes are comparable and false "parallax calculated" distances are comparable, then calculated "real magnitudes" would also be comparable.

In other words, both objects would have a size about 1 dm in diameter.

And if an object has a rotation period of 0.8 seconds, 1 dm in diameter gives a vastly different approach to its energy than 14 km in diameter.

A magisterial example of how false assumptions about distances can give us false conclusions about the nature of a thing - not unlike the false assumptions evolutionists do about ages.

http://www.20minutes.fr/paris/1817383-20160331-paris-fin-enquete-judiciaire-mort-clement-meric

Admitting a Discrepancy Previously Undetected

I had, during most of my time as Geocentric debater, imagined "aether" as moving at uniform angular speed of 360° in somewhat less than 24 hours, namely in 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds.

Celestial bodies with a slower daily round around Earth, most notably Sun at 24 hours and and Moon at 360° in 24 hours and 50 minutes, are not moving with an aether slowing down as lower and closer to Earth, but moved by angelic movers. This part is so far no problem.

The problem is this.

I had imagined that the speed for 360° in 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds was a fairly slow rectilinear speed in terms of km/h at the level of Earth surface.

Therefore I saw no discrepancy in allowing on the one hand Geostationary Satellites to be moving at stellar angular speed one way through an aether moving at stellar angular speed other way, that is in reality (which I didn't count through) 360°/86 164,098903691 seconds or 0,0041780742162973°/second due Westward

0,0041780742162973° = 0,250684452977838 arc minutes = 15,04106717867028 arc seconds/second of time* still due Westward.

Do you know what linear speed that is at the equator?

40 076 km / 23,93447191769194 h = 1674,405022923298 km/h.

40 076 000 m / 86 164,098903691 seconds = 465,1125063675826 m/s.

For Geostationary satellites, I had counted on aether being "the medium of place" - what moved things when moving without adding momentum per se (though a relative momentum compared with things fixed to earth might result), without applying any force, simply by being the place itself of the thing and being displaced.

But on ground level, at Equator, this would imply falling things have:

  • a non-vectorial but factually local speed westward of 465 m/s
  • along with vectorial acceleration of approx. 9,80665 m/s2

So, the first second something fell, it would be falling 10 meters down and at same time 465 meters Westward ... er, no. It falls pretty straight down.

For this Westward speed to reduce to half, we would need to go further North or South than 45°. In Marseille, things falling down would go West faster than 232,5 m/s while falling down 10 meters. I don't think this is correct.

I did not notice any such falling Westward when I was there.

I thought of one solution, namely that not just the linear speed of aether could be slowed down due to angular speed being around a narrower circle, when on Earth level, but also the linear speed could be slowed down by another factor, drastically reducing angular speed, namely the nucleic matter of the atmosphere** interfering with the Westward move.

The problem with this solution is that aether is also supposed to be luminiferous, and the Michelson Gale experiment, in Geocentric interpretation, measured a Westward movement of luminiferous aether at 360° in 23,93447191769194 hours.

I don't think the Michelson Gale experiment was conducted at satellite height, more like ground level. Therefore, if aether were slowed down toward ground by nucleic matter in atmosphere, Michelson Gale should not have detected such a speed of the luminiferous aether.

In other words, the discrepancy is between "locigenous aether" having the slowness of Coriolis and luminiferous aether the speed of Michelson Gale and aether still being the same ... something is rather discrepant.

I have failed.

I don't know exactly where, but if the dear reader will take a look, I'd consider answers.

The in today's society most obvious one that Earth is turning around itself*** is least likely to be welcomed by me, just saying in advance.

That geostationary satellites work because of angels, rather than because of physical forces, I have already thought of.

Perhaps God and the angels were laughing when the satellites were launched, and God said "let's humour them a bit". Or perhaps NASA's satellites will be very useful one day, when Antichrist mimes the Solar miracles in atmospheric only version : he cannot do a real miracle, but he can do the appearance of one. Ergo, he should be able to fool viewers, but not obervation from space.

Or because internet is so far a good idea.

But, I would appreciate another mechanic solution for Geostationary Satellites, perhaps along same lines as mine, but involving no such discrepancy as here discovered.

PS, has now been posted on three forums and sent in one pm for further debate./HGL

Update, St Francis of Sales (25.I.2017):

I did get a solution while posting on one of the forums. The object which falls straight to the ground is first held still above the ground, and thereby it has gained a momentum eastward through a westward moving aether, before it starts falling.

Really not very different from the explanation of Heliocentrics, and it involves some use of Mach's Principle./HGL

* a/100=x/60 ; 60a/100=x ; 6a/10=x ; 3a/5=x
86 164,098903691 seconds = 23,93447191769194 hours
40 076 000 m = 40 076 km

** My general theory of physics having gravitated to an otherwise elegant notion of aether being the matter between and around all nucleic matter, rotating more or less freely when unblocked by such, but staying mainly still - except for electricity and such - when inside bodies that include nucleic matter.

*** Even this would in no way show anything like a proof Earth were turning yearly around Sun.
