I'm not one, I had the misfortune to actually go to a boarding school.
And on that one, there were people who were doing witchcraft in more serious manners than going "expelliarmus" ...
But the point is, Hogwarts involves so many lethal dangers and so many actual casualties, that in a normal world, a school with such a record would have closed down. (True for parts of the history of my own boarding school, in this case I think a unification of two boarding schools was meant to change the atmosphere and shuffle the cards, it also involved the prestige of having hosted our King, why bother to hide, it is SSHL).
So, is the Jobs Corps Programme of Knoxville still there?*
And that Juvenile Probation Center?
Before she became infamous as one of the youngest American women ever sentenced to die, Christa Gail Pike was a North Carolina teenager who broke into a community center to steal some candy. At 5-foot-3, with thick auburn curls, she’d been in trouble at home and in school but not with the law. A juvenile court judge put Pike on probation, but she ran afoul of the rules. In the fall of 1991, when she was 15, Pike was sent to the Juvenile Evaluation Center in Swannanoa. She arrived just before Thanksgiving.
Nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains, just minutes away from Asheville, the center first opened in the 1960s as a “haven for troubled children,” in the words of the press. It was supposed to be an alternative to more severe “training schools,” but by the 1990s was skewed toward punishment. ...

Is that one still there?
And why was Colleen in Knoxville?
The server denies me access, but a preview of their obituary says, her grandfather encouraged her, basically as a carreer move.
So, Christa was there because the Juvenile Probation Center had pushed her, Colleen because ambitious family members had pushed her. Neither is Tenesseean. Asheville NC and Jacksonville FL are not next door. They are 442 miles or 711.45 kilometers (most of the distance I walked in 50 days back in 2004**) apart. At such a distance, you don't get jealous because of a boyfriend, you don't kill someone with a piece of asphalt.
If they had lived in the 19th C., neither would have been in that position. Someone said Satan was getting a century, and his power wasn't limited to Satanist, though two persons involved at the time, at least, were such. I wonder what an exorcist would have to say about the killing and the ensuing remorse, leading to Christa's very open confession, as soon as police arrived to ask questions.
And give the trackrecord of the evil man John Knox, I'm not surprised that Knoxville was the place for this event. While the city (as is also the case with Fort Knox) is named for Henry Knox, he was an Ulster Scot by ancestry, Bostonian by childhood and so presumably of John Knox' confession. One who wasn't was Father Ronald Knox, wonder if he has been praying for Christa ...

PS, it seems Henry Knox was a member of American Philosophical Society.
I'm not sure if he remained a Calvinist./HGL
