In Fátima, Did Our Lady Want to Privilege Russia Over Ukraine?

New blog on the kid: In Fátima, Did Our Lady Want to Privilege Russia Over Ukraine? · Mr. President Trump, Have You Considered These Two Things? · Is America Mentioned In Bible Prophecy? (Sharing Dimond Brothers) · Christ is King, Poland Knows It (Sharing) · Assorted retorts from yahoo boards and elsewhere: On End Times

She asked for the consecration of Russia. She did not ask for that of Ukraine.

So, some would perhaps conclude, She thinks Russia more important and more worthy than Ukraine.

Now, why would Our Lady NOT ask the Pope and the Bishops of all the world to consecrate France to Her? Because, as I know from spending some Augusts 15 at St. Nicolas du Chardonnet and joining processions, the King of France, Lewis XIII, already did that.

A ruler of Kievan Rus' also did that, with Kievan Rus'.

My conclusion is, She considers that the consecration of Kievan Rus' is still valid. For Ukraine.

However, it does not in the same way apply to Russia. Either because Russia is not the main heir of Kievan Rus', Ukraine is, with Belarus'. Or because the Tatar occupation broke the link by some desecration of this consecration. When St. Bridget told the king of Sweden to go on a Crusade against the Heathen of Novgorod, Jesus probably meant the Tatar occupants, whether they were still Tengrist or whether they were Muslims.

So, after Suzdal emerged as cradle of Muscovy, which later styled itself as Czardom of all Russia, no Grand Prince of Muscovy or Czar "of all Russia" made the same move as that Grand Prince of Kiev.

In 1037 the Grand Prince of Kievan Rus', Yaroslav I Vladimirovič, known as the Wise Man, consecrated his kingdom, which at the time included present-day Ukraine, Belarus, and part of Russia, to Our Lady, recognised as Queen of Ukraine. Nine hundred years later, just three years before the Fatima apparitions, the Queen of Ukraine had "returned" to warn her people, appearing in Hrushiv to twenty-two people who were working in the fields, foretelling the advent of atheistic communism in Russia, the world wars, and the great suffering that the Ukrainian people would experience because of communist Russia. The end of the suffering was announced again in Hrushiv, in 1987, to 12-year-old Maria Kyzyn.

Consecration of Russia, a decisive act that also requires penance

Obviously, to the language of Yaroslav the Wise, what he consecrated was Rus' ... but Ukraine is her heir. Ukraine is heir of Sviataya Rus' and therefore of the consecration.

Couldn't Putin consecrate Russia to Our Lady? He could. But I don't think he would. That's why Our Lady asked for the Pope and the Bishops of all the world to take the matter into their hand. That's the only authority over a sovereign civitas that is able to trump the authority of its own rulers. In the case of Ukraine, the rulers already did their job in 1037.

For those who feel inclined to some penance, today, Friday, Saturday, these are the Ember Days of Spring. Ember days are "dies quattuor temporum" (days of the four seasons) and in order of the seasons, Spring has them after Quadragesima, Summer after Pentecost (yes, in the octave), Autumn after Exaltatio Crucis, Winter after Gaudete Lord's Day. Ember in English refers to "ashes" like Ash Wednesday.

So, Does Our Lady in any sense privilege Russia over Ukraine? Only as Our Lord privileges the one sheep over the 99.
