Is Matt Walsh Pro-Russian?

Because, it so happens, Russia has long had a certain beef with Lord of the Rings and its fans. A fan fiction was published (the English translation cannot be sold in the West, but is available online for free), namely The Last Ringbearer by Kirill Yeskov, also famous or infamous for The Gospel of Afranius ... the man is a walking nostalgia item for the Soviet Union.

Now, it so happens, Matt Walsh pretends to be offended by the length of the films and also to find a plot hole in "why didn't they ride the Eagles?" (good luck arriving in Mordor undetected like that!) ... I don't look up Matt Walsh, since he basically has banned me from commenting, but I hear it from Ben Shapiro:

Thank you very much!

Es war sehr schön, es hat mich sehr gefreut!

Only adding that if you want to enter former East Berlin in a chopper starting in West Germany, it's way easier now than it was before a certain date in 1989.

Similarily, for the Eagles to arrive at Barad-Dûr, it's like better after Sauron was disembodied and his spirit banished and the ring-wraiths gone as well ...

Also, Matt Walsh doesn't seem to have any feelings for Aldebert de Baufort in La Guerre des sept fontaines. (The War of the Seven Fountains in English). Some ghosts seem to have no rest until they have accomplished sth ... the Oathbreakers are in a similar position (the allusion to bad water and wine drinking in the "Middle Ages" would be more valid for the 19th C.)
