Here is a quote from Rev. Dr. Mark Sandlin, after his stating that the Bible contains contradictions:
I mean:
- The Gospels can’t even agree on Jesus’ last words.
- Paul (who never met Jesus) and James (his actual brother) disagree on faith versus works.
- The Old Testament presents radically different depictions of God, ranging from smiting people left and right to telling us to care for the orphan and the widow.
Here is the answer:
- The Gospels do not state that no further words at all were uttered between this or that and the actual final breath.
- Paul agrees that works are necessary, if you look at Ephesians 2:8 to 10 instead of stopping at verse 9.
- Caring for orphans and widows soemtimes involves smiting their oppressors.
So, Bible contradictions? Again, none./HGL
So, what is Evangelicalism upgrading instead? Well, it's converting to Catholicism./HGL
