Moshe Gafni and Yaakov Asher seem to argue so.
They are worried about missionaries, especially Christian ones, and about attempts to convert that neither involve material favours nor target minors and are therefore not illegal under the existing (already evil) "law."
"Sometimes these attempts do not involve the promise of money or material favors, and therefore are not prohibited under the existing law, but their many negative consequences, including mental damage, require the intervention of the legislator."*
Unfortunately, there would be Jews who agree. Not just ultra-orthodox in Holy Land.
Some might make exceptions for accomodating versions of Christianity, like Vatican II style Catholicism, or Protestants believing Theistic Evolution and no literal Adam and Eve. Such people would not look kindly on my religion - I am willing to pray "oremus et pro perfidis Judaeis" and I take it we live in 7222 after Creation. Yes, including the creation of the Andromeda Spiral Nebula.
People who take that kind of ideological views on what is "mental damage" are my enemies./HGL
