Do We Ressemble Athens?


I think so. Acts 17:21 says:

(Now all the Athenians, and strangers that were there, employed themselves in nothing else, but either in telling or in hearing some new thing.)

Sounds like a good description of internauts ...

If we go back a few centuries, before this is written of, the "some new thing" often was a debate with Socrates on the one side and Gorgias or Eutyphro or someone else on the other side.

I am not an Apostle like St. Paul. But as an internaut since 2001, I am by now something of a "native Athenian."/HGL
