Yes.

Few months or weeks before he was killed, he did state things that are not Catholic and which by themselves would have damned him. The question is, was he on his way to conversion or not?

Candace Owens and a Novus Ordo bishop have affirmed he had serious intentions of conversion. If so, God could have seen some of the errors as residual, on their way to being washed out, according to such an intention.

He was by the way ending his support for Israel or at least reconsidering it. Dimond brothers do not by 12:25 (when they have gone on to another subject) seem to recognise this.

It is possible, that getting killed was the one way in which God could credit such good intentions, before he brushed them aside in favour of the world he was living in.
