Here are the words:
Sadly, we begin this year as the world finds itself rent by numerous conflicts, large and small, more or less known, but also by the resumption of heinous acts of terror, such as those that recently occurred in Magdeburg in Germany and in New Orleans in the United States.
We also observe in many countries growing conflictual social and political tensions. We see increasingly polarized societies marked by a general sense of fear and distrust of others and of the future, which is aggravated by the continuous creation and spread of fake news, which not only distorts facts but also perceptions. This phenomenon generates false images of reality, a climate of suspicion that foments hate, undermines people’s sense of security and compromises civil coexistence and the stability of entire nations. Tragic examples of this are the attacks on the Chairman of the Government of the Slovak Republic and the President-elect of the United States of America.

To be honest, he is honest enough not to say that the fake news involved in Trump or possible fake news involved in Fico assassination attempts come from social media. Unfortunately, he is not leaving social media alone either:
Modern scientific progress, especially in the area of information and communications technology, has brought undoubted benefits for mankind. It has allowed us to simplify many aspects of daily life, to stay in touch with loved ones even if they are physically far away, to remain informed and to increase our knowledge. At the same time, its limitations and dangers cannot be overlooked, since it often contributes to polarization, a narrowing of intellectual perspectives, a simplification of reality, misuse, anxiety and, ironically, isolation, particularly as a result of the use of social media and online games.
As a content provider of social media and as using a cyber mostly used for online games like Counterstrike, I feel that Bergoglio is contributing to the fake news about myself. Indirectly. But still.
Because the fake news involved with Trump didn't primarily come from social media, but from mainstream media outlets to the left, from schools, from public debaters on behalf of institutions like political parties.
The possible fake news about Fico seem to be he refused to send military aid to Ukraine. And that Fico refuses that is not fake news:
Slovakia announces halt of military aid to Ukraine
https://www.euractiv.com/section/defence/news/slovakia-announces-halt-of-military-aid-to-ukraine/
The only possibility of fake news involved would be if Bergoglio said that the pro-Ukraine stance were based on very international fake news. I don't think this is the case. I also don't think Bergoglio wants to come out in full support of Viganò's pro-Russian stance, just yet, which by the way I don't share.
Going to me. It is not fake news and I have not abused my role in social media when stating, that the driver in Magdeburg was a psychiatrist. I did due fact checking. It was also not fake news, though for some week I lacked back-up in a source, that three bystanders had cheered when seeing this evil deed happen. I finally did get hold of a source from Mitteldeutsche Zeitung.* It is in fact also not fake news that the shooter in New Orleans has been involved in fighting Islamism when in the US Army deployment in Afghanistan. Both have a background in fighting against Radical Islam in various ways (Taleb Jawal Abdelmohsen, of Magdeburg infamy, doing to on social media).
I wonder whether someone here in Paris kept the eyes open about this statement since this morning when I did show my blog URLs for busking, I got very faint response in money. But it could be something else they were upset about, like my refutation of a pretended debunking of the global Flood.
People don't typically go on shooting sprees because someone has made a successful defense of Ark of Noah logistics.*** Or because someone has referenced what Guy Berthault did to debunk the laminations of Grand Canyon as pretended traces of year after year, adding up to millions, or even billions. But some guys would like to think they do, or especially others to think they at least "potentially could" ... convenient excuse for repression, I would say, when and if it comes. More probably when, but hope it's not too soon.
And some would pretend that I am myself isolating myself by social media. I would claim, it's more like others are isolating me for social media they don't like. The diagnosis "internet addiction" was fabricated in Red China in 2004. Or perhaps in 2003.° Its goal was not to boost freedom of online discourse, that's for sure./HGL
