Her research involves "the Catechism" meaning CCC. She found it heavy for beginners. I found it heretical on § 283.
My own research, mostly prior to it even existing, both before and after conversion, involved 5 Catechisms, like "Katholsk Katechimus før det Apostoliska Vikariat Danmark" and "Grand Catechisme de St. Pie X"* (the latter is the three latter parts of a five part work, the first two, I haven't read "Petit Catéchisme" also involves "Premières Notions")./HGL
* Excerpt:
35 Q. In what state did God place our first parents, Adam and Eve?
A. God placed our first parents, Adam and Eve, in the state of innocence and grace; but they soon fell away by sin.
...
38 Q. What chastisement was meted out to the sin of Adam and Eve?
A. Adam and Eve lost the grace of God and the right they had to Heaven; they were driven out of the earthly Paradise, subjected to many miseries of soul and body, and condemned to death.
39 Q. If Adam and Eve had not sinned, would they have bee exempt from death?
A. If Adam and Eve had not sinned and if they had remained faithful to God, they would, after a happy and tranquil sojourn here on earth, and without dying, have been transferred by God into Heaven, to enjoy a life of unending glory.

- The most terrifying thing I ever did was fall madly in love, 15 years ago, with a highly conservative very young Catholic woman with 11 siblings for whom birth control was unthinkable. At one stage I was regularly shaking with anxiety about what marrying my beloved would mean. When I finally let go of the evil influences that made me think that a traditional Catholic marriage had to be miserable my whole life took off, especially emotionally.
As you settle into your new faith, please be open to not denying yourself the freedom and joy of using your body as it was intended.
