He wasn't arrested for heresy, but for independence of the state

In 15th C. Catholic Spain, he would have been arrested too.

But he could have been released if showing no heavy bias to heresy. St. Ignatius was.

The Inquisition can not be brought back to Spain right now, in 2004 they legalised the abomination of gay marriage. However, China has no right to repress someone like Ezra Jin, the government is a thousand times more heretic than he is, they push women to abort, they harvest organs from donors who die at this event, they delay marriage to age 18, they show no tolerance for pre-marital pregnancy, they promote Heliocentrism and Big Bang and Evolution.

In such a case, I think Catholics should be solidaric with Ezra Jin against this decision.
