I have complained about the Swedish attitude and lack of culture before:

The thread started with my OP on the 11th of January.

I have had a short and actually pretty correct and fruitful interaction with "mord_med_blod" from 27.I to 29.I. He gave me three replies. A certain "achtungbitte" gave me 7, he was possibly a Christian who refused to interact with my proposition that Heliocentrism has never been proven, but gave some observations on Joshua 10:12, which would have been OK if he could have pinpointed the words "Move not, O sun, toward Gabaon, nor thou, O moon, toward the valley of Ajalon," with the prayer mentioned earlier as "Then Josue spoke to the Lord". Or if he could have pointed to miracle workers saying things to other entities than the ones changing behaviour.

A certain "Abdiel" gave me 28 replies, spending most of them tryng to pin me down as a paranoid conspiracy theorist and equating non-adhesion to the conclusion of scientific consensus with non-acceptance of the direct observations that are part of what goes into them. "GrimFabel" only gives 9, but also spends most of them in gaslighting.*

Sweden is a country where Creationism, especially Young Earth Creationism, is equated to Conspiracy Theorising about Scientists. And where actual Supernaturalism is equated with whims of the gods of Greek myths. I can argue till I'm blue in the face, but they will go on. It's like advocacy for Palestinian civilians before a company of extreme Zionists who are telling you to your face, even if you know it's wrong and say so, that you are promoting Hamas and terrorism.

I did not disobey any order of my mother when I left Sweden. We did interact. Her first reaction on me saying yes to the proposal was, she wanted to bless me for monastery. I said no thanks. She then told me, basically, I would be dealt with either as a Schizophrenic or an Alcoholic, she asked me which I would prefer. It was very clear that this was not her preference, just sth she knew some people she didn't specify were going to do anyway. I may have "disobeyed" the wishes of a father who wanted me to integrate into Swedish society (or, if not, perhaps, possibly, have me stamped as mentally handicapped). He has not said that. But he has also refused to interact with me even over FB, so it is not totally unlikely.

Delivering me to a country like that or to a dad like that would be inhuman. Pretending it's just for some time, while I supposedly recover from sth, is unrealistic. I do not have the same youth, strength and stamina, optimism and charm, that I had in 2004, when I left Scandinavia behind. Getting through Northern Germany back then was different from how Northern Germany reacted to me, and I to it, in 2023. I had left Paris, France, gone through Belgium to Germany, in the hope of visiting a dying mother. I learned in Munster she had died. I tried to get up to the burial, I got bogged down in Hamburg, and after one week in Hamburg, I knew that leaving Sweden once again over North Germany would be impossible.

Having an apartment in Sweden would trap me with a society that I loathe, not because of having an apartment, but because what Sweden is today. Leaving Sweden for homelessness in a country I prefer (like France) would be construed as a mental breakdown and one would "protect" me from it. I am a hardworking writer.

I am also getting lots of pushback precisely as a writer. No, I don't mean on my arguments. I mean on the actual process of spreading the word of my writing so that I can reach finally someone who would be interested in publishing on paper.

I am very certain some have pinpointed me as a Narcissist (also a charge "Abdiel" brought up) because of my opposing scientific consensus, as if I thought I knew more than loads and loads of researchers, all of which presumably more qualified than I, and presumably none of them on my side. I replied, it's not about a competition of talents, I could add I consider mine average, it's about knowing better (rather than more) than people who have the wrong ideology. To some, including "letters" on that thread, saying scientists have an ideology and it can be wrong = conspiracy theory. And they could continue to charge with "narcissism" for that reason, especially in Sweden (and also among some Evangelicals). Or simply for wanting to pursue a line of trade which depends on fame to be successful (perhaps especially among those Evagelicals). Some think, when dealing with a Narcissist (even if i context it just means a vain and conceited person) justifes all the strategies of a Toxic Narcissist in his close relations (manipulation, lying etc) as long as its done collectively and there is no individual narcissist.

So, 3 decent interactions with "mord_med_blod", 7 half decent ones with "achtungbitte", contrast that with the toxicity of "Abdiel" through 28 and half and half toxicity of "GrimFabel" through 9, of Grushög through 2, of "morphed" through 3, of "letters" through 8. 10 on the decent and half decent side, 50 on the toxic and half toxic side. In case you think this is just how debates work out with me, nope. Most interactions in English and perhaps all of the lots fewer interactions I get in French, are decent. When I go on Quora, it's the Swedish one I dread for toxicity. When they interact at all.

Do Swedish decent people exist in my experience? Yes. Lots of common people not very interested either in discussions or in Christianity (usually), lots of Christian intellectuals who ... for some reason ... are less interested in discussions than Christian intellectuals elsewhere. Given I am a Christian intellectual and do NOT like keeping a low profile, that would only be half a comfort for me.
