Have you noted a thing about the beast of Apocalypse 13?
It's not defined by the Scarlet beast (arguably the one which corresponds to the seventh head, neither lion (1) nor bear (2) nor leopard (3, 4, 5, 6)).
It is defined by the leopard, which I take to stand for four of its heads.
If I'm correct, the four leopard heads are:
- Judaism
- Islam
- Puritan Protestantism
- Theistic (at least) Freemasonry.
Leopards aren't lions, but they may look like lions to people who haven't seen real lions. I've seen a comment on the Hebrew word in Daniel actually probably referring to lynxes. They look really high and dry (as witnessed by a bottle of German liquor I saw).
Anglicans of North America* are an interesting thing. They are not Puritans. Unlike Episcopalians, they are also not sufficiently Liberal to be Lion of Babylon, the one which will probably be the mouthpiece of the Beast from the Sea.
