One Side is Lying About the Conflict

Tom Mullen thinks it is Ukraine:

Here is my disagreement:

“No one disputes President Zelensky was shelling the region prior to Russia’s invasion.”

How many have even claimed it, as you do here?

I mean, if you as a fairly marginal blogger (less marginal than me, maybe) make that claim, why would one dispute it?

What is your actual evidence that Zelensky did shell the region?

As far as I can see,* the conflict began with recognition of full independence by Russia of the Secessionists, and that also within the limits of corresponding oblasts of the Ukraine, not within only the limits controlled by the Secessionists.

I’m not against all acts of Secession, but Russia has by far gone beyond just defending the Donbas.

Putin, as far as I can recall,** was not claiming shelling of Donbas, but existence of Nazi groups and injustices against the Russian population of Donbas, plus obviously, Zelensky military having NATO ambitions.

Viganò wrote:

“As proof of Putin’s “violence,” the media spread images of bombings, military searches, and destruction, attributing responsibility to Russia.” – if you attribute a bombing to Putin, you obviously dispute its being perpetrated by Zelensky.

He also wrote: “Eight years of bombing in Donetsk and Lugansk, with hundreds of thousands of victims, 150 dead children, and very serious cases of torture, rape, kidnapping and discrimination”

He sourced it to an unsigned word document, where the most atrocities on Ukrainean side would be between 2014 and 2016, if the document is correct, and this is brought up now.

Plus, the fact that the existence of memorial support for Bandera is played out as an atrocity of state. What’s next? Will Israel demand the US and Sweden get attacked because they aren’t making Holocaust denial illegal?

Other point:

By those parameters, Russia was certainly the aggressor in this war with Ukraine. And by the same parameters, the U.S. was the aggressor in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Yugoslavia, and Kosovo, just to name a few previous interventions. So, are there other valid reasons (by their standards) for preemptive war?

I happen to have been against the War in Afghanistan, though it could have been used as a righteous crusade, but eventually wasn't, since the West supported a government that made conversions to Christianity and Bible sales illegal.

I am also against the initial invasion of Iraq, which basically provoked ISIS. Not meaning ISIS had a full righteous cause and only fought for that ... the presence of the West became justified after the invasion, when ISIS targetted Christians. I took up a stand against each of these. During the Kosovo war, I was in prison, so could not protest against the bombing of Belgrad. So, can I take up a stand against Russian invasion of Ukraine?

When it comes to the viral lab, how about Putin showing his talents as an agent and destroying it outside open warfare, instead of trying to manipulate UNO about it? Ideally with no human casualties and the cell lines (if any) from aborted feti buried in the ground ... but while his vaccine may be efficient, it is also based on such cell lines.
