If Ukraine Joins the EU, Russians in Ukraine Can Stop Worrying About Russian Language Status
Russians and Ukraineans do Not Speak the Same Language (unless they are Ukraineans who learned Russian) · If Ukraine Joins the EU, Russians in Ukraine Can Stop Worrying About Russian Language Status
Zelenskyy has stated, Russian won't be state language.
In EU, that's not necessary. Russian could be regional language (with Ukrainian still state language) in Novorossia regions. And Russian and Tatar could be regional languages in Crimea, there also with Ukrainian as state language on top.
A bit like Galego. It's not state language. You can't use it in Madrid or in Barcelona to go to the police or tax office or whatever. But you can use it in Santiago.
And you cannot use Catalan in Madrid or Santiago, but you can use it in Barcelona./HGL
