I Was Partly Wrong About the Amish
I had thought that apart from more old fashioned technology, they held to the same standards of "simplicity" as Laestadians in the North of Sweden.
Well, like Amish, Laestadians are very hospitable. BUT, if you stay over night, don't count on the windows having curtains. They are referred to as "the Devil's panties" up North.
No idea what Amish think about curtains, but I do know that this would be impossible among Laestadians:
