I know that the the canonization process has sort of 20:44 developed over time or standards have become more stringent. Um for the past say I'm I'm just going to pick an 20:51 arbitrary date. For the past say hundred years have we had this really like strict we've got to have medical 20:57 documentation in order to uh you know affirm that these miracles actually did take place.

Monsignor Robert Sarno
21:02 Oh yes. Oh yes.

Standards have become somewhat less stringent in the number of miracles. After one miracle and Beatification, they used to require two more miracles, now it's one more miracle.

As to medical documentation, that has been standard practise since the Middle Ages and doctors being organised in guilds and theirs being one of the few that survive to this day. I saw a video about a grown back foot in 17th C. Spain, and there was medical documentation involved, as well as hearing of ocular witnesses./HGL
