Some People Believe in "Over-Population"

As far as I know, the physical ressources to sustain all men alive and many more are there on our Earth, it is the distribution of them which makes certain communities (those that give an impression of being over-populated because they are over-crowded on ridiculously little space compared to what's available) scramble for inadequate resources. New Delhi and Calcutta having some suburbs that have been misused as poster-childs (or do you say "poster-children"?) for the concept.

The fact that many people are out of work and get little resources allotted simply means production is over-concentrated. There are two kinds of things you can do to agriculture. Some measures will give or leave more edible food per acre, like fertilisers and pesticides (or insects doing the work of pesticides). But another type of measure will just mean that more acre and food will be handled by same man or same acres and food, really, by fewer men.

This type of rationalisation has been justified because it leaves those not implied in agriculture and other primary sector free to engage in secondary (processing) and tertiary (providing services). Well, but those sectors are also being rationalised, meaning the push will more and more be into two not quite well matched, even very ill-matched, masses:

• out of work people needing charity
• people providing charity in a professionalised way that also involves surveillance and restrictions on the former.

And the while some people are crying out for fossil fuels when Putin is boycotted, these fuels are often used precisely for rationalisations.

In the Middle Ages, when 9 / 10 or even 19 / 20 of the population were farmers, who needed tractors, and why would they use cars rather than horse- and oxe-driven carts to bring products to the nearest market and town?

You have heard the idea, "the farmers needed to work for all the rest, without tractors and without ..." yeah, but the "all the rest" per any given farmer with family would back then have been 1/9 or 1/19 of a man with family! Not 9 to 95* or even more other men with families!

Bring back the Middle Ages, and NOT Tamagotchi children, please!
