- Totally unchristian people don't like the Blessed Virgin referred to as Mother of God;
- Some half and half Christians may prefer "mother of Christ" and not know the former part of Hail Mary is in the Bible;
- And, finally, some have a stupid prejudice against repetitive prayers, which is perhaps bolstered by a misreading of Matthew 6:7 or perhaps is just a question of being prejudiced against any and all alpha states except the way one gets one's own fix.
Daniel Panneton has just offered all these real and obviously anti-christian, anti-catholic motives an easy cop-out.
I have ignored lots and lots of the petitions launched by TFP, but this one I have signed. Do likewise!/HGL
The Atlantic Magazine MUST Apologize… bigoted against Rosary.

PS Apart from being vicious against Catholics using the Rosary, it bypasses that the Catholic sites, even far right ones, that feature the Rosary were hardly the primary inspiration for Payton Gendron. Yes, Panneton pretended:
the far right’s constellations of violent, racist, and homophobic online milieus are well documented for providing a pathway to radicalization and real-world terrorist attacks.
There was a link at "well documented" to the opinion by Kyle Chayka that Payton Gendron was inspired by such sites, and when I check, Payton Gendron's [own] religion is N/A, but his parents' common job as civil engineers makes "nones" a very likely answer, along with Atheist. Like Breivik, he pretty certainly believes in Evolution./HGL
