What if it said "corners"?
And he shall set up a standard unto the nations, and shall assemble the fugitives of Israel, and shall gather together the dispersed of Juda from the four quarters of the earth
[Isaias (Isaiah) 11:12]
If, as in the Catholic Bible, it says "quarters" it means the general directions, and was fulfilled in the First Century AD at Pentecost.
But what if it said "corners" ... like Apocalypse 7:1
We'll calculate weighted means of the coordinates, and in order to do that, we'll first uniformitise the notation into minutes rather than degrees, we'll get back to usual notation later, we'll also uniformitise it as North and East coordinates, marking each South or West one with a minus.

N (1906 + 1906 + 1906 + 1906 + 1906 + 1906 + 3673) / 7 = 2158' N
E (2113 + 2113 + 2113 + 2113 + 2113 + 2113 - 8993) / 7 = 526' E
35°58' N 8°46' E is in Tunisia. See discussion further down.
Jerusalem — Cape Lopatka
N (1906 + 1906 + 1906 + 1906 + 3052) / 5 = 2135' N
E (2113 + 2113 + 2113 + 2113 + 9400) / 5 = 3570' E
35°35' N 59°30' E is in Iran. Persians are mentioned as Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites in Acts 2.
Jerusalem — Hobart
N (1906 + 1906 + 1906 + 1906 - 2572) / 5 = 1010' N
E (2113 + 2113 + 2113 + 2113 + 8839) / 5 = 3458' E
16°N 57°E is in the sea South of Oman.
N (1906 + 1010) / 2 = 1458' N
E (2113 + 3458) / 2 = 2785' E
24°18' N 46°25' E is near Rijad in Saudi Arabia, and Arabians are mentioned in Acts 2.
Jerusalem — Cape Horn
N (1906 + 1906 + 1906 + 1906 + 1906 + 1906 -3358) / 7 = 1154' N
E (2113 + 2113 + 2113 + 2113 + 2113 + 2113 -4037) / 7 = 1234' E
19°N 21°E is in Chad.
N (1906 + 1154) / 2 = 1530' N
E (2113 + 1234) / 2 = 1673~1674'E
25°30' N 27°53' E is in Egypt, West of the Nile. Egypt is mentioned in Acts 2.
So, as expected, all of the above places (or nearly) are within the range described in Acts 2:
And how have we heard, every man our own tongue wherein we were born Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea, and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia Phrygia, and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome. Jews also, and proselytes, Cretes, and Arabians: we have heard them speak in our own tongues the wonderful works of God
[Acts Of Apostles 2:8-11]
Tunisia was not mentioned, but what about halfway between there and Jerusalem?
N (1906 + 2158) / 2 = 2032' N
E (2113 + 526) / 2 = 1320' E
33°52' N 22° E is in the Mediterranean, between Cyrene and Crete.
So, "from the corners" in the sense of "from the direction of the corners" would have been fulfilled in the First Century. From the actual places like Anchorage would not have been fulfilled until much more recently. However, recently, Israel has not shown itself to be a refuge, and the standard for the peoples certainly is the Cross.
