My writing is mainly essays.
If and when I finish Chronicle of Susan Pevensie, I'll have written a fan fiction novel, for which the source material is not yet in the public domain.
While I write basically every day, I have written very little on Chronicle of Susan Pevensie since 2014.
So, I need an independent publisher, like Lost Island Press, but which, unlike Lost Island Press, considers publishing essays.
There are some people who think my essays should NOT be republished on paper and commercialised. Such people I consider as my enemies, like they are also enemies of my faith and my philosophy and (somewhat below these) my political loyalties. NOTWITHSTANDING if said enemies have acted friendly. Look, there are people I could recall, once I get things going, with as much gratitude as Nissan Mandel (a survivor of Auschwitz) recalls a certain SS officer. But Nissan Mandel does not consider the SS in general as having been simply normal and friendly with Jews or as having been his consummate pals or as having been the company he chose.
If Nissan Mandel wants to considere National Socialists as his enemies, I quite understand him. They were enemies of Austro-Fascism as well. They were part time military allies, but not ideological equivalents, of Franco.
So, in a similar manner, even if being on the street rather than having my material printed is less of a chore than being a prisoner in Auschwitz back in the time, it is by now a more prolonged chore. Auschwitz camp was in use for 1711 days or so (wikipedia says "May 1940" but doesn't specify the date). I arrived in Paris and have since been working to get off the street as a writer, on 26 of July 2009. This has been blocked for, by now, 6044 days.
You block, and are therefore my enemy, if:
- you say I shouldn't write (like you pretend I'm a drug addict or sth)
- you say I haven't finished my book yet (the novel I haven't finished is not the only book and not the main book I could produce, and many books could, depending on your taste as a publisher, be assembled from my essays in an hour)
- you say I am not ready to write on what I write on
- you judge my productivity as a writer on my progress with the novel (and even less progress with another novel that's not fan fiction
- or you say, I need to reconsider this, that or sundry before you unblock the blockade.
You are in a blockade and therefore my enemy, if you say any of above while being in some kind of position to speak about me, whether dishonest (like posing as a shrink I consult, I'm not voluntarily and knowingly consulting a shrink) or honest (like you are a family member, or you know me from the St. Nicolas du Chardonnay parish, or from the neighbourhood where I've been most of the time since the first 2020 lockdown, or you are a childhood friend or whatever) and you use that position to promote any of above.
Now, why do I need an independent publisher? I got a mail from Hello Editions, who seem to have been publishing only fiction, but their distribution system is linked to Hachette, and Hachette very certainly publishes non-fiction too. So does Heinemann ... for classrooms in public schools. A publishing house that provides text books in Earth Sciences with suppositions like Heliocentrism, Earth formed 4.5 billion years ago, life formed from chemical reactions, life forms progressing from protids to eucaryotes, from invertebrates over fish, from amphibiae, over synapsids, early mammals, early primates, to man, human history being over 1 million years old, if you don't limit yourself to Homo sapiens sapiens, that publishing house will not agree to publish essays promoting Geocentrism, Life necessarily formed by God, Man necessarily formed by God, Deep Time as unproven as Deep Space, Archaeology re-calibrated to within the Biblical Chronology. Same thing goes for Hachette. Even if they aren't limited to text books, they do have the Atheist bias I just described for a UK school books publisher.
So, I need an independent publisher. And rather yesterday than tomorrow. One which, like any other independent publisher, has its own submission rules, and more specifically, one who's submission rules don't exclude essays and don't exclude the kind of Christianity that a Freemason would term "Fanatic" simply for strictness of adhesion to the faith and to questions subordinate to it but connected to it.
Why I don't become one myself? I have no appartment. More specifically, I don't have an apartment on the private market, I learned the case about the Télenne couple, who, after Virginie Télenne started organising protests against "mariage pour tous" (gay marriage), were thrown out of their apartment, which had a "bailleur social" because the rules didn't allow her husband to use that apartment as adress for a publishing house (of a paper, not sure if monthly or weekly).

PS. If you start a publishing house, whether in Paris or New York or London or Dublin, my material is available on conditions favourable to you, and it is plentiful./HGL
