The similarity.
- In 1982, I was bullied in school and found refuge in the library. As well as at home, where I also had lots of books.
- In early 2026, I'm on the street, pretty bullied, and find refuge on the internet.
The differences.
- From the library I had no (seen and seized) possibility to communicate outward beyond my personal surroundings, and no one said I spent too much time in the library.
- From the internet, I do have that possibility and see and seize it, and those who resent that say, I spend too much time on the internet.
