No, the Solway Firth Spaceman Mystery is NOT a Parallel Mystery Proving Spacemen as Much as the Shroud Proves the Resurrection

Sharing on the Shroud · No, the Solway Firth Spaceman Mystery is NOT a Parallel Mystery Proving Spacemen as Much as the Shroud Proves the Resurrection

At least not yet.

Here is wiki:

Solway Firth Spaceman, Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solway_Firth_Spaceman

The solution proposed by David Clarke is, the shape is actually Jim Templeton's wife.

Now, the overexposure would have caused blue dress to appear white, or it could be a sun reflection doing so. But this still doesn't explain why the back of the wife's head looks like the front of a spaceman's head.

In comes this video:

The claim is, basically, the actual head of the wife is just the black visor of the spaceman. The bulk of the spaceman suit's helmet, the white stuff around the visor, is the Moon. The video asked with my assessment of this theory:

My thoughts on the Moon Theory is, it can be tested.

A gibbous moon should be within 45° to each side of facing the Sun. Note, it could be 45° up or down, not just sideways.

A) Did the man take the picture with the Sun at his back? Many photographers would.
B) The shadow and time of day would help to reconstruct (but I couldn't do it) how the Sun was at this time. And given the position of the Sun to photographer and child, one could reconstruct the placement of the Moon and see if it matches.

So, no, I think there is plenty of reason against throwing up one's arms and saying "there are so many unexplainable things notably in imagery, the Shroud is just one more" ... because, I don't think the Cumberland Spaceman is even remotely one more./HGL

Do you like Ground Control to Major Tom?

I don't.

D 68 060 08 442
B 66 120 14 224
O 79 190 23
W 87 270 30 32*7=224
I 73 340 33 One 32 per lower case
E 69 400 42 One 32 for the space

Now, David Bowie was just his artist's name. He died as David Robert Jones.

If you add 442 to 224, it arguably says more of Ground Control to Major Tom than about his own eternal fate. That said, some issues look a bit bleak.

But arguably God wouldn't have wasted a coincidence like that just because Ground Control to Major Tom is bad music. There would need to be sth worse either in the text or in the overall phenomenon the text refers to. Notes being uncomfortable is an added warning signal, not the basic issue.

And Ground Control to Major Tom is about rocketry, and I think it has a bad side.

How would you spell Star Trek in Welsh? Star Trec ... STARTREC if we use no spaces or lower case:

S 83 080 03 580
T 84 160 07 +36
A 65 220 12
R 82 300 14
T 84 380 18
R 82 460 20
E 69 520 29
C 67 580 36

Basically, in Roddenberry's vision, once space was colonised, Christianity, Islam and arguably Orthodox Rabbinic Judaism would be things of the past. "Archaic modes of thought" as some say. Watching Star Trek (the original franchise) was living this vision of the future in advance. Now add 580 to 36.

How do we know this is his view? Because he insisted that Starship Enterprise should have no chaplain.

Those who have already read my story Year 10 950 ARC (After Rocket Crash) will know I don't believe in colonising space any more than in radiation plus spider bite in a lab giving you spider powers. I have more credulity about Dracula (and not that much either) than about Spidey, and more credulity about Orcs than about Warp Drive.

I also think - as some readers may also know - that the tower Nimrod was trying to build was a rocket - it would have had three steps and above them a top meant to reach deep space.

In other words, Nimrod was trying to reach heaven by rocketry. And that's not like getting there by a humble Christian life or a glorious martyr's death, like that of St. Thomas More.

The problem isn't he thought heaven is a place - it is, the risen body of Christ is there, our risen bodies will be there if we are saved, but that he thought a body still mortal, not yet resurrected, could live there.

Plus it was absolutely not needed as a refuge against a second Flood, God already promised there wasn't coming one.

The scene in Ground Control to Major Tom* seems to have as a backstory the colonisation of space as in the belief Earth "won't be enough for mankind" - but it will.

Tower of Babel and Moon Landing

One debater who thinks no man has landed on the Moon (and who might be or might just possibly not be right, but if not, there are questions about the Allen Belt and if any of those having landed got cancer), made the point:

"God stopped the Tower of Babel but let man land on the Moon? Yeah, right!"

Point is, I am not at all sure Tower of Babel need to have been very much more innocent than landing on Moon.

The text does not say that the council of evil men was:

"let us make a city and a tower, which may reach to heaven"

BUT

Genesis 11:4 ... "let us make a city and a tower, the top whereof may reach to heaven" ...

Now, what is the difference between "a tower reaching to heaven" and "a tower the top of which reaches to heaven"? None if the top remains attached to the tower. But some pretty great one if the top is detachable. If "the tower" was a ramp and "the top" was a kind of rocket.

If Nimrod planned to get way past Moon and over the fixed stars ... well, if so, what God has allowed even if moon landing is true is less than what he was stopping back then.

The thing is, if Göbekli Tepe was the Tower of Babel, it looks very much more like a ramp for rocketry than like a skyscraper.

That is perhaps why the know how was scattered and hence forgotten and why "space exploration" was delayed for some millennia, if my reconstruction about Tower of Babel is the correct one.
