Isn't "we believed this for 1600 years" and "Past Popes said it's true" the logical fallacies of "argument from tradition" and "argument from authority" respectively?
Not with premisses that boost the tradition of the Church and the authority of the Popes as Apostolic and therefore Theopneust, like the Bible is Theopneust.
And those premisses are Catholic dogma.
