So, here is a screenshot I took, and the spot is not on Ashdod:
More like a little NE of Cairo, above the Western part of the Sinai Peninsula. Which, as you may know, is Egyptian territory.
When they threw the cell phones over board, the tracker kept on the cell phones, or when they sank to deep, the last spot that they had marked.
The two options (not mutually exclusive) are:
- Israel committed piracy.
- They were actually in Egyptian water.
And there is a footage of the cell phones being thrown over board when the Israelis come. In other words, the crew did not throw them overboard too early and get intercepted later.
