I would say LOTS of successful people are not exactly exploiters, and in case of industrialists, I'd like to add "sometimes" and "any more" ... The successful people in Ireland in 1847 to 1853 or 1856 were exploiters, people who forbade the men who had grown their wheat from eating anything other than the potato crop, because the potato crop was their share according to contract.
However, I would also say there is another prejudice, quite as obnoxious.

You may just, in that case have exonerated Pierre Laval, though personally I wouldn't. He may have simply thought, as per his public words before the Rafle de Vel d'Hiv, that he was sending the Jews to a very paedagogic boot camp. I noticed that phrase being quoted in a newspaper article about the then upcoming film Rafle. Personally, I'm very much less Pétainiste than that. So, as I am Swede, and though I hate much about my country as it is now, attacking a fellow Swede like Miss Thunberg isn't gaining you points.
